The bronco I had my eyes on got sold so back to looking online again . I want the hoss3 steering stuff so looking at wildtracks . I plan on pulling the occasional 5x10 trailer since I do occasional gun shows and am undecided weather to get two doors or four. Big difference in pulling trailers with two door ? Two doors just look sooo frigging Cool... Opinions please . Oh yeah . Do dealers work with you if you pay in full ? I hate payments and giving extra money to finance companies.

2dr and 4dr both have the same tow rating of 3,500lbs (Raptor has a 4,500 rating) so I say get the 2dr if thats what you want!

As for dealers.... man they are all different. I'd find one that you fill comfortable with. Maybe hit up the local sub thread and see if you got anyone that can refer you to a good dealer.

FWIW all 2024 Sasquatch Broncos get 3.0 steering so you’re not limited to a Wildtrak.

As for pulling trailers I can’t speak to the difference between a 4dr and a 2dr but if you pull much of anything with any regularity I’d probably be looking at a truck… If you only pull that moderately loaded 5x10 and are willing to either fix or put up with a bunch of squat then you’re fine with a Bronco but that’s not really it’s forte. There’s likely no difference in 2 vs 4 drs from a driver experience POV on that setup.. tow ratings are the same for either one also

I don't tow anything very often but always thought a longer wheelbase helped overall. As for a cash deal, a dealer would much rather finance you because they potentially get a cut on the backend so don't rule that out if they'll give you a better price. Just make sure there's no early payoff penalty and after you drive it off the lot then pay off the loan.

As stated, all Sasquatch's now have hoss 3 steering rack and tie rods, the WT would have the Fox shocks over the Bilsteins (hoss 2).

I was just going to stroke a check for it. Now you have me thinking.

I don’t have any experience with a 2Dr but I can easily imagine a 4Dr being ~slightly~ better for towing since it has the longer wheel base

But that doesn’t mean the 4 Dr is great at towing. That soft coilover suspension just can’t handle weight in the rear well, even if you have the trailer perfectly loaded. That’s why the tow ratings are so low - they all pull fine and as long as you don’t have too much weight they are not bad, but overload it and try to hit the brakes too fast or have the trailer start to sway a little and that suspension just buckles and it makes things wonky.

If you are only towing twice a year - get what you want - 2Dr will pull fine. If you are seriously towing a lot - get a truck.

2 doors pull a trailer just fine. The one benefit is tight spaces with a trailer. I had my M416 in some tight areas last week and it was no big deal to so a turn around and maneuver out.

Dealers make more $ when you finance, so finance and pay it off after the first payment is a option. You can just straight up ask them when its time to negotiate what deal they will give if you finance, some dealers will give you a lower price for financing.
If not pay with the check.

If you're going to tow a 5x10 trailer twice a year you should probably get a 3500 series dually pickup!!!

No, but but seriously, I think you'd be fine either way. I've towed with the Bronco several times, including 6x12 uhauls and a loaded coleman lantern camper that was right up around the limit, and it does just fine. What is the GVWR of the 5x10? I doubt it is more than 3000 lbs. When I towed the Coleman Lantern (rental) I had a WDH, but on the highway my Bronco (2.7) pulled with no issue and I was surprised at how well I could speed up to pass.

Funny thing is, the Bronco pulled easily at 100% capacity, a Ford engineer has even said that it is only a bracket on the Raptor hitch that allows for the extra 1000 lbs, and I believe it. After renting the Coleman last year, we went out and bought our own trailer, but it bit bigger with a 4600 lb dry weight to tow with my wife's Grand Cherokee with a 6200 lb tow rating. We did one trip, and it towed so terribly that I went out and bought a RAM 2500 a few days later. It would probably do fine on flat ground, but in the hills of Western PA, I was redlining the engine every other minute to go up hills, and barely maintaining my speed. There is a long hill near my house that, with the pedal floored, I could only maintain 50mph and not gather speed.

My point is that with my experience, the Bronco is underrated at 3500 (mostly because of a weak hitch) and a Jeep Grand Cherokee V6 is overrated at 6200lb. I really feel for anyone buying a RAM 1500 with the same engine/tranny thinking they're going to tow near the limit of 7000!

If the dealer is nice and honest with me, I ask them how many payments I have to make. If you pay it off too quickly, the finance company will back charge the dealership, often ~$1,000. Nice dealerships will tell you that there is nothing they can do to you, but they'll have to eat the chargeback. Not so nice dealerships will tell you that you will have to pay it back to them, but there is nothing they can do. That happened to my sister - she did the dealer financing and they threatened her that they would come after her for a grand if she didn't make at least 3 payments, but she re-financed immediately and nothing happened ;)

Just look at the loan terms and verify no early payoff penalty. I have not heard of a new car loan in years that has a early payoff penalty.
Yes they need you to make a few payments, if you think they treated you fair make the first 3 payments before payoff, no matter what you end up paying they are making money on the Bronco without the finance kickbacks.

Any 2024 WildTrak, Badlands or Sasquatch-equipped Bronco has the HD steering rack that HOSS 3.0 (and 4.0 on the Braptor) has. If you get a 2023, it's WildTrak and Braptor only. If you get a great deal on a 2023, you can get the HD rack installed and keep your warranty if you go with the Ford Performance rack and tuner and have it installed by the dealer service or ASE-certified tech.

Off topic but are you an FFL? I had a gun store for 5 years but never made enough to make it worth my while. Made enough to pay the rent, utilities, etc and a little spending money. On an even more somber off topic when I gave up my FFL and the ATF did their final inspection I was told that on some of the traces I filled out for them it was due to suicides using guns purchased from my store. Never had a clue that anyone shopping was in that kind of mental state.

Don’t tell dealer how you are paying until you get to final price.
longer wheel base/weight is typically better for towing. For inexperienced, backing up trailers with short wheel base makes for lots of fast direction changes as trailer turns quicker. That could be beneficial. Either way it’s just practice.
