Outer Banks Heritage Style Grille Inserts

Turned my outer banks grill into a hybrid heritage with these white inserts. I initially installed the black ones, but thought after my white wrapped top, spear decals and old school badge, I'd switch to white.

Inexpensive and easy to install and remove (if necessary, with pry tool).

Turbocharged engines generate a lot of heat. I don't understand why would anyone want to deliberately decrease the efficiency of the cooling system by partially blocking the airflow with these grille inserts.

Not sure I get all the hype about reducing cooling??? Other grills have similar designs, and on my latest trip, didn't notice any issues with rising turbo temps.

As a side note, I'm installing Mishimoto Intercooler to offset. Hope that COOLS everyone's jets (or turbos).

Have had mine installed for probably a year now and there has been zero difference. JB4 can monitor all temps, incl IATs.

The black inserts clean up the OBX grill drastically.

Call me weak but I tend to stay with the original engineer's design unless something compliments it. If I were smarter than them I would have built it.

Typically, most design decisions are not necessarily the best engineering solution, they are a compromise between design, engineering, manufacturing, and accounting...
