I like the inserts better on those extra large vents, but I think the designer should have allowed them to be mounted from the back of the grille, which I think would be a cleaner look. For my BD (where the vents are much smaller but there are a lot more) I thought the aftermarket options were a little too costly. So I made my own using some "gutter guard" material. It was necessary to do a little trimming but not too much. Only took about 10 minutes to install (and that includes removal of the grille for installation of the screens). I'm attaching a pic...
