I am trying to avoid that as the light is not dispersed as designed when there upside down. The other company that does 3 3" cubes has BD flip the lens so they work properly. Other option is to get the longer brackets and flip the lights which I am doing. Those replace the ones that come on the lights so they can be flipped. Fog lights that are upside down are going shine the light up not down. Big issue.
I am not sure I understand how flipping them can change the dispersion.... The dispersion runs left to right doesn't it?

Yeah, and to recap, because it can be confusing for those who buy lights for various mounting positions in any vehicle. For example on A-Pillars, you mount them from the bottom. Many fog brackets from the top or the sides as shown above. In any case, with Baja you can always rotate the frames or lenses with ONE Exception. This is the big one. Their NEW SAE lights. So you will want to have the model that is rotated for that in the SAE. Other than that, they make it very very easy.

Like Sidney said though, we can always help you or anyone with any full kit at some much more attractive bundle discounts than just ala carte and then you can always throw your installer a BIG TIP! LOL and still come out ahead!

All jokes aside, we are always happy to help anyone with any guidance and products.

John
I assume that is because of the SAE cut off line. but why do you have to flip lenses on the others?

Road trip from east central FL to the pan handle. Spotted this old locomotive and spun around for a picture.

Small switcher (yard engine) probably a V12. Looks like an EMD... (as opposed to GE)... GEs were a pain in the ass to work on... the High voltage cabinet is about 50 different cabinets all down the sides. EMDs Had one big cabinet behind the AR10 Generator.

Installed half of the DV8 Overhead Molle and Grab Bar. I put the cross-section on, but I needed a L torx bit to get the little torx screw out. So Amazon to the rescue since I did not have an L Torx kit.

So when I get it tomorrow I will install the front half Molle Panel. I do like the cross piece, though I did bang my head on the cross piece getting in the back lol. Tall people problems. It's solid, and stiffens things up. If anyone is riding in the back, they will have something to hold on to. Nice piece.

Well, let me think of the best way to explain.

So think of it like this....

You know how a garden hose sprayer works?

You turn on the hose and then twist the nozzle and the more you twist it, the more it either sprays wide and short, or long and narrow like a water jet.

So think of that like your light patterns.

Long narrow is a spot, short and wide like a diffused. medium like a driving/flood, etc.

Well lets say you turn the sprayer to a medium pattern for example. If you hold it straight forward. Completely horizontal, it sprays straight. If you turn the handle upside down and still hold it straight forward horizontally. The water still sprays straight forward (ignore the fact that gravity over a distance sags the water.) So the point is it is uniform. Top or bottom. The pattern projects straight.

So, to angle the light down, you tilt the entire light housing down at a slight angle.

What is different about the new Baja SAE lights is that they don't project the light vertically. They have optics in them Like a prizm. That BEND the light beam DOWN and a CURVE or an angle.

That curve down at an angle means you can keep the light housing straight forward, but the light itself angles down. In turn, if you flip them upside down, the light beam will angle UP into the air.

Make sense?

John

And Downward on fogs- mounted upside down they will point up.
