I didn't comment when I first read this to see how it was going to play out.
But clearly people are bumbling over the obfiscated review. Which I'm pretty certain was done on purpose.

You don't want your windshield to ever break again. Got it 👍
Your A pillars are fine - I never found this to be an issue, but okay 👍
Easy online stuff - cool 😎

48 & 5/8 stars (with zero context of, 'out of how many', and with a number that large, usually assume 100) that would be less than half = bad rating.

But put in context , maybe out of 50 and not 100, but thats a very odd scale range - than it's a good rating, 'red' joke aside. But it could be out of 68.32 because oddity is the theme here...

Anyway, good to know you have an unbroken windshield for now, but my question is, did you get the cool OEM Bronco signature windshield or a generic one?

Edit: because I had to step away when writing this ( I'm at work) I didn't notice that you got the OEM one - good to know. Is that an up charge or covered ?

I got windshield insurance for mine. Called the insurance, told them I had a crack and that I wanted an OEM windshield and they sent me to a guy. Only cost me $25 bucks from a couple dollar add on to my policy.

Can you have them install OEM? Here in NM, we have no windshield coverage, so it goes on my deductible. So if I’m paying $500 regardless, I’m going OEM.
One state away in AZ, and by state law windshield glass is a zero deductible if you have comp.

Safelite would not OEM glass without me having to paying a $150 upcharge. I went with a local shop (from our Bronco FB group) that gave me OEM glass without upcharge.

But no bronco insignia printed on the glass right?

I have great folks at the local Safelite ... I had a factory windshield installed just under $1k. No scratches... Even gave me a can of glass cleaner and a box of Kimberly-Clark towels. Just my 2¢.

OEM glass has the Bronco and all the little logos. Safelite wanted an extra $150 for the glass with the logos. Local shop got me Ford glass at no additional fee.

65 7/10 for obvious reasons.
I know your type; the ladies just love you.

The angry mob confused by this post might make this a self-fulfilling prophecy... 👀
What are you even talking about? You think confused responses to poor humor will drive the OP away from Safelite?

It's always funny when folks don't get the funny part. You seen Young Frankenstein? The angry mob scene? They weren't coming to tie his shoes...

My experience with Safelite was not good. I needed a new windshield for my Basesquatch. I have glass coverage. The default contractor for my insurance is unfortunately, Safelite. I scheduled an at home install. Time window was 8am to 5pm. They would call 30 minutes before they arrived. Stuck at home all day. Tech called at 4pm claiming that the windshield he was provided was scratched and he couldn't do the install. So, he waits an hour before his work day ends to tell me that he can't do the job (a 2-3 hour job).
I reschedule. Tech shows up, finishes the job and leaves. He forgot to tell me that he gouged my windshield frame through every layer of paint, into the aluminum. There is no way that he could not have known. A simple, "I'm sorry, Sir, this is how you can make a claim" would have been appropriate. Nope, play the "Did I do that?" game. I had my own before and after Pics. I made my claim, but F it. Rather than have those nitwits touch my Bronco again, I chose to touch it up myself, and call it a lesson learned.

Not nearly as much as the Andorians.

A Bronco enthusiast should know the significance of those numbers.

I'm sorry you aren't enjoying yourself. You must be a big fan of the color red. No offense was implied.

Found the guy who only read the title!

OEM was installed, it's the only windshield I would accept.

I have the same issue with no windshield coverage (It's not offered by Allstate), but I also have a $0 deductible. Check with your insurance company, going with a lower deductible might be cheaper than you think. It was only $12 per 6 months more for me to go from $500 to $0.
Yes...anything triggers me with them. They are perhaps the worst company I've ever dealt with. I won't take up 3 pages here describing how incompetent they are...over and over again...
