Want to brag on my HE! Just made first trip to Ozarks. Took my 17 year old son for a father/son overlanding weekend. We ended up on several trails rated 6/10 and I am not a very experienced driver yet (maps were tough to follow in several places

). The HE performed like an absolute beast! We dealt with rocks, deep mud, river crossings, and steep pitches on tight trails. She never checked up and is now officially broken in! Couldn't be happier with the way she performed.

My Jtopsusa cover showed up Friday afternoon so I decided to remove the hardtop and install it yesterday, took it for a ride today and I must day that I was extremely happy with the fit and sun protection it offers yet still giving you that open air feeling. I still need to pick a good 3"/2" suspension lift, so if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

Looks great. Bet it would look good on a red HE too!

It is all proportion. It does make it look super tall. To get these size tires almost any other vehicle would have to be way higher. I love the wheel wells that Ford designed!

I recognize whose bronco that is..... I also know how much went into moving shit and stripping shit to get it that low to the ground. It is impressive but that took a lot of work!

It seemed to be all about that extra 1/2 inch....

True, it did take a lot of work. But did not cost 20K, just time.

I would love to buy some portals but knowing me I will end up with something like this because it is what my wallet can afford. I’m building skids not buying them for the same reason. Probably have a few hundred bucks in them instead of over a grand. I’m just an average Joe with an average paycheck, I must spend my money wisely. I have enough talent in my head to do the work. I just don’t have a large bank account.

Love those new Ride shocks by the way. That is where most of my money will be tied up.

Just for the record I’m trying to put a Godzilla in my Fox body right now, that ain’t cheap either.

I have been following that build all along. I am still waiting to see (maybe I have missed it but I will eventually catch up) the front raptor arm and new rear axle.... BECAUSE IT IS AWESOME!!!!!

This is the shit most people SHOULD be impressed with.... if you have ever turned a wrench you know! and I know YOU know! This is the more impressive by far! Yea, I love my portals. I like them. I think they are phenomenal..... But BMB is doing shit on a whole different level that I am too old to compete with. That is a lot of work and I KNOW it. been there once when I was young,

I am curious about those ride shocks.... I really like Accutune. I have a feeling those are going to be phenomenal. I really really want to try them....

Now the Godzilla on the fox body I am leery of.... What is the weight? what trans? what diff? what axles?... is this intended to be a quarter car or a road car? I tend to like the road cars. I ran a 302 in my fox. torquey as hell. 4 wheel drifts were fun. the BBK racing suspension helped a lot.

As far as the Zilla. My Fox was already Procharged. Ran mid to low 12s at 115 with a shit AOD trans. Not planning on racing it just a mean street machine. I’m no spring chicken either, 57, been turning wrenches since I had a bicycle. I just want to have a cool ride. Have a Tremec from another Stang I had. Believe it or not that Zilla has more power than the Procharged 302 I had in it. I got it for a steal cause it needs a cam and no intake on it. New cam and intake has been dyno tested at 600 ponies, those things are STOUT right outta the box. It don’t take much to make them rip.

You are correct it would be a better quarter car than a corner carver. It weighs close to 600 pounds. One might be better off with a 5.0 or 5.8 if one would want to do some carving. But for just the best smiles per mile it hard to beat them 445 inches of brutal torque.

For Granger, it’s a relatively “straight” trip. South from Detroit, then through south Chicago towards St. Louis, a stop in KC for some ribs then up to Omaha for some steak. Then wait for a truck ride back east to Des Moines (Granger).

Mine has been sitting on Ramp P in Kansas City since Tuesday. Did yours go from KC to Omaha by train? Guess my train wasn’t going to Omaha since it is now in Indiana. Wonder if it is waiting for a train to Omaha or a truck from KC to Granger.

Mine sat for a day or two in KC but was on the same rail car. Maybe they changed the route to truck them from KC to Des Moines. Would actually make more sense. But they've really never been accused of have any of that before. I doubt they would load it on another rail car. But........

Right. I thought getting built was the hard part. Granger is not in a rush to deliver either. 2+ days after delivery to hear from Finance. 4-7 days for PDI. Available for pick up by appointment and only 2 Saturdays a month.

They were pretty fast for me. Mine arrived on a Friday I believe, and it went into PDI right away. I had to rent a car and drove out there to pick it up. I did it during the week though as of no Saturday deliveries then.
