This is the fifth time my check engine light has gone on since purchase less than two years ago. Bought my Bronco August 2022 and again engine light is on. My dealership is great and good service people. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem with their Bronco?

Last time the dealership dropped fuel tank and check all sensors and lines. Anyone have similar situation? I never had a problem like this with any car I have ever owned.

They changed some sensors but never gave me a final answer to problem. Now they say I may have to pay for things not covered under warranty. How is this possible, it’s been a problem since I received the vehicle. Poor customer service from Ford Motor Company

Ford Motor Company stepped in last time to help problem solve it. They dropped whole fuel tank and check lines as well last time. I can’t imagine this is still going on. Was wondering if anyone else is having this complication??
Now they say I may have to pay extra if needed. First time I bought a Ford in 30 years, it may be my last.

Here's a fun story: My Bronco has been at a body shop for almost 3 weeks. I've periodically been spying on via FordPass, tracking it's movements from on parking space to another. Anyways, Friday night, I check it and I have a 'SERVICE ENGINE SOON' warning. I'll check in this morning with the shop, but it should be interesting to see what's going on with my Bronco. Also, I don't need an oil change, so that's not causing the warning.

Good luck with the Engine Light, they still can not figure mine out. Can’t believe a new car has this many issues setting off Engine light code,

Typically there is a code associated with the check engine light, giving you something to go on in terms of root cause. Get the code (via cheap reader or maybe Forscan) then read up on cause. That way you can get some info irrespective of the dealer.

Recently my older Dodge minivan check engine light came on, I read the code which was for EGR valve issue, replaced the EGR valve and all good now.

Thanks Indio, I was thinking I may have to purchase a code reader. It’s just frustrating that it keeps happening and dealership can not resolve it. I’ll let you guys know what the resolve is.

Sounds like a lemon law candidate. I just filed, in and out of the dealership for the same issue regarding the rear camera., Its this, its that, oh you have to buy a new APIM which isnt covered. Very dissapointing; In california its 3 attempts to fix or 30 days in the shop, Ford to pay all attorney fees.

Do you have any mods or are you stock? I have had my Bronco over 2 years now, completely stock, no check engine light, no issues. I also plan for no mods due to issues I read from air intakes, etc. There are so many sensors on this Bronco- scary!

Dealership said it was the PCM, it needed to be “updated”. No charge, was covered under admissions coverage from Ford.
I am glad it’s fixed, for now.

I have no engine mods on my Bronco. I only swapped out my OBX wheels/tires for a Badlands set. Besides that modular bumper and bully bar from factory. With continued engine lights, I am afraid to do any engine mods, for fear of voiding any warranty.

Could this really be a candidate for lemon law in NY?

Poor service from your Ford dealer, not from Ford. There is a difference.

They may have something disconnected to do the repairs. If it is run with something disconnected, you get the CEL.
