Are the lighter outlets in the console and in the rear hot all the time?

I suspect they go to sleep after a while. Not good because I want to plug a flat tow braking system into it.

I think you can change the time limit with forscan, not sure if you can leave it powered continuously though.

Been along time since I've heard the term cigarette ligjter...i dont think ive seen one in a vehicle in About 30 years.

They do shut off in 45 min or so. I ran a fused wire from the battery to a cigarette lighter outlet I mounted at the drivers kick panel for my flat tow.

This. 30-45 minutes or so. Just wire one up directly to the battery.

I have my portable power station plugged into it. Helps ensure I don't accidentally drain the car battery.

I know other solutions exist, I've seen quite a few on here.

Thanks everyone. I'll wire one up direct from the batt. Not like I needed MORE things to do before I head out to the dez on friday morning. Working tomorrow just became optional.

I wired my reverse/camp/chase lights into one so I can use them we Bronco is off but not risk battery drain
