Wiper control speed issues URGENT SAFETY

My Bronco build date was June 2022 and does not fall within the recall date period...but, I just got a recall notice. What's up with that?
I have had no issues with my wipers.
QUESTION: Is this just a flash the computer thing, like a 10 minute fix? The letter says it could take half a day (I will not leave my Bronco at any dealership).

The build dates listed on the customer satisfaction bulletin aren’t correct, so ignore those.

It doesn’t take a half day, it’s about a 10 minute programming repair.

@BigSkyBronco : It's a new thing they are pushing here in Miami. The actual people doing it are the Ford/Lincon group that is the Land Rover dealership. I was a little surprised when they called me about my Shelby. So I asked about the Bronco and they set it up to come back on Thursday.

After 25 month of ownership, I have 3 open recalls on my Bronco.

1. Passenger rear child lock inspection
2. Passenger seat seat belt buckle inspection.
3. Windshield wiper software reprogram.

The reprogram may be the straw that breaks the camel's back to use a service lane instead of the Quick lane.

Just had the wiper flash done not long ago and can confirm, completely fixes the slow down issue! Today was the first rain since the update and its immediately noticeable. Had it done during an oil change.

Correct. It’s a customer satisfaction program so it does have an expiration date of 12/31/24

They did mine when I took it in for "the works."

Never had the issue happen but I'm glad they're addressing it for those who have, was kinda messed up how they were denying it early on.

Anyone else have a wiper control issue where at fast speeds the wipers start to slow down and seem to go intermittent. It almost impossible to see at times. You have to monkey around with it to keep them going.


UPDATE 2/20/22. Due to the large number of similar issues with wiper controls among Bronco owners in this forum. Please report to your local governing body before someone seriously gets hurt.

I have a 2023 bronco badlands and yesterday Levittown ford upgraded upgraded the windshield wiper software and fixed the problem,

The windshield wiper fix is 10000000% necessary.
I’m not even sure how Ford shipped so many of these with the wipers not functioning properly, then seemingly pushed back when owners complained.
