I installed the Perimeter Plus in my F150. It works well and is adjustable. My motorbike exhaust sets it off.
I’m gonna put it in the Bronco and it’s an easier install.

Are you able to enable the perimeter plus alarm with the roof off?

Yes. It doesn’t care. It’s basically an accelerometer, like your phone has in it to determine orientation, movement, vibration, etc.

People are still saying “partner”? Sorry that just feels so 90s to read.
I think we should use the name "Sylvester Newell"

Let see if anyone can catch that old reference..... (hint: P.Y.W.) actually from 1969.

That’s a good name for a farmer. Great film! Now I’ll just think pardner when I read partner in the OP and it sounds much cooler.

I can't believe you remembered that... Most people could not get that reference right after watching the movie.... Partners name is only mentioned one time and one time only.

It is a good name for a Farmer. and we could use it as "I was with Sylvester last night.... I think we would be good as long as we stuck to plural pronouns. 😁;)

There aren't any sensors that determine whether the roof is on or off, so I assume this would work as usual.

I just received the Ford Perimeter Plus module this week, and will be installing it myself in the next few days. Youtube has videos of people installing the same alarm in other vehicles, but not the Bronco or even the Ranger, so this should be a fun exploratory surgery.

For anyone interested, the correct part number is ML3Z19A361A on Ford's accessories website.

Just purchased my BD Bronco today and have been watching videos about upgrades. I’m ordering my module tonight. Here’s a video of two people installing it. They struggled a bit, but I think that was mostly lack of general understanding of the vehicle.

It takes some work to put it in - definitely tougher than my previous F150 and Explorer.

What I want to know is why there doesn't seem to even be a basic anti theft alarm on a $63,000 (in 2022) vehicle. No alarm was triggered, and no notification registered in the FordPass app.

What do folks do to protect their Bronco when parking in public spaces? I'm curious to hear what others have done to safeguard their ride.
I put the Ford perimeter plus alarm on mine. About $250.
Seems to work, at least for nearby Harleys and lightning hits.
Most of the time I don't park the thing anywhere I can't watch it, like...Austin.

Sucks man, sorry you have to deal with that. My 2023 Badlands has an alarm. I have the Lux package, not sure if the alarm is tied to it or not though. In fact, the alarm is quite sensitive.

On top of that, I have a dash cam with interior view and shock sensors with LTE connectivity. Whenever there’s a “disturbance” I get messages on my cell. Most are false alarms, but never no so I always check the video and can download.

There are a number of dashcams. Vantrue N4 and Pro are very good and install isn’t bad. Hardwire for notifications and that may give you peace of mind.

Thieves were likely looking for one thing; a gun. Best to always take with you, so glad they didn’t get yours.
I'll second the Vantrue line. One in my truck and one in my daughter's Mustang. Will be getting one for the Bronco as well.
