How in the world did you get a hold of Ford chat? Everywhere I look it shows that have been done away with for the past month and a half or so.
I’ve been calling FORD MARKETING to try to get a rail car number, and they refuse to give any information having to do with shipper, information. In fact, they are telling me they are forbidden to give out any more information concerning the shippers.
All I know is that my bronco has been released to the shipper.
I love to get a rail car number myself so I can track it through the auto bot phone system.
Got a link for the FORD chat you went to?
Appreciate you.
Try using Microsoft Edge that always worked for me.

The little "chat" bubble should pop up at the bottom of the page after a min or two

I've got 3 different people on that specific chat to update me on my order no questions asked. I'd definitely try again later for a different rep
Thanks! It worked! I had to use Microsoft Edge browser.

Try and use a different computer or browser if you can't get chat to come up on the Ford Support page.....there seems to be some sort of cookie drop that blocks it after multiple uses

If one chat rep doesn't provide it....try opening another chat later with a different rep
It worked with Microsoft Edge! Thank you!

Here are some tips to get on ford chat:

1 it’s only on/available from 9am-9pm EST Mon-Sat

Try using Firefox or Brave Browsers and make sure the are updated.

I have connected to ford chat using the Ford Pass mobile app….click on account (top right) then Help….you can click “call” or “chat”

I’ve found the call center people can be really friendly and helpful first thing in the am.

Your dealer definitely has the ability to provide the rail car info and also can see your rig location in real time right on their computer.

here’s a shot my dealer sent me.

Thank you for the info! Unfortunately, trying to extract info from my dealer is like pulling teeth over the past three months. Through the kind replies from the individuals on this forum i learned this afternoon i had been using the wrong browser to try and access chat. When i used Microsoft edge i had success. The chat person answered my questions. I learned my Bronco had been released to the shipper but has not yet been assigned a rail car #. When i get that number I’ll be able to track the broncos path to Houston.

What would you do?

My vehicle arrived at my dealer today. I have plans to pick it up over Presidents’ Day weekend due to work and the dealer is 2 hrs away.

The dealer finance department is pushing me hard to sign all the paperwork now. Says everything will be taken care of on pickup day, so everything will go smoothly.

I have a $1000 deposit on it.

I kind of want to sign papers after I can see the car, touch it, and take a close look at what I am buying.

I already called him out on one of the forms that said I am accepting the vehicle “as is” and I am responsible for all damages. He removed that form.

Am I being paranoid or is this dealer trying to close the deal a bit early?

Unfortunately not all dealers have VinView, its optional and sadly my dealer doesn't haha I'm too impatient for this last leg of the journey now that it's off the rail car haha

I don't have any experience with dealers (tomorrow will be my first) but I personally wouldn't sign anything before seeing it.....

Totally agree. Don't sign anything until you've visually inspected it and test drove.

They would have to have a killer return and protection policy covering 1000% of the vehicle for me to ever sign before I inspect and drive.

Integrity is everything. If they've already try to slip in you accept any and all conditions and they aren't responsible, I wouldn't trust them.
