Hitch delay

Picked up my ‘24 WT over a week ago. Hitch was part of original build.
Understand is a dealer installed option and Ford sends the hitch separately (or dealer has to order it not sure which). Still waiting on the hitch and noticed is out of stock on Ford accessories website.
anyone else experiencing this delay? Dealer does not know when they will get it.
I’m sure Ford has another company building their hitches but wanted to see if anyone has any additional information.

Just picked up 24 everglades. No hitch and dealer did not receive it yet. Wiring is already there though so once the hitch comes in should be 30-45 minute install. Just the hastle of taking it back to the dealer. Should be worth another $100 in points!

I'm in the same boat. Dealer keeps saying that they have been told it has shipped but they have no idea when it will be delivered. Picked up my Bronco 10 days ago.

Good they prewired it. Is that standard on the Everglades? Will have to check mine to see if they prewired my WT.

I was told they were on national backorder. I went to pickup my 2024 badlands last week. First, the dealer didn't realize it was supposed to be there. After he made A few phone calls, I was told it will ship separately but unknown when. I didn't accept the bronco as it was damaged in shipping. Multiple rock chips & dents/creases. As I ordered azure grey, I wasn't going to start with A re-paint on day 1

Do alternate suppliers have them? I ordered my hitch from E Trailer over a year ago. Was only like 109.00, in stock and took me a whole 15 minutes to install. I have not yet done the wiring, I needed the hitch for a bike rack.

Just sucks we pay for something and no idea when it’s going to be available. On a 4X4 hitches are a pretty big deal. And not like it is a complex item to manufacture.

If you have the wiring your in great shape. That’s the hard part. Hitch on etrailer. 2 options. Easy to install but you need a strong torque wrench.

I know it sucks to be without your hitch, but, before '24 you would have been without your entire Bronco. When hitches were constrained they just didn't build your Bronco until they got the parts. Consider yourselves lucky.

Exactly, I ordered mine in Jan 22 with Tow--had dealer cancel tow package 3 months in, and still waited another 9 months for my build, and then waited another 2 weeks after it got delivered to the railyard 15 miles from my dealer.

Were you able to at least take delivery? I'm in a very frustrated spot with my dealer right now. Bronco arrived at their dealership on Tuesday. I went in first thing Wednesday morning and signed the paperwork. They told me they just needed to install the tow hitch and that it would be ready later that day. They texted late in the day saying it won't be ready but should be Thursday. They just texted me again saying now it should be ready tomorrow (Friday). Confirmed with him that they have the hitch in hand and it's just waiting on install. Was now just told "the install with all the wiring and everything takes 6-10 hours of labor." That seems like total bullshit to me. The Ford install video say it take 60 minutes. It's 4 bolts. Doesn't this come pre-wired from the factory? Does it really take 6-10 hours to install a tow hitch on a brand new Badlands?

I'm now asking them about cancelling the service plan and extended warranty I agreed to yesterday and will see what they say about this.

Am I overreacting or is 3 days ridiculously long to install the tow hitch?

Seems like someone at your dealer is misinformed. In previous years, the Bronco didn’t come pre-wired without the tow package, so that estimate probably would’ve been correct then. Starting in MY24, all Broncos come from the factory pre-wired so you’re correct that it should be a very quick install. It sounds like your dealer isn’t aware of the change.
