Don't have to interpret when you are in DIRECT contact with the people making the top. Lol Because they are not on B6G I guess people think it is not a real company?

For those of us who decided to buy this top, Armadillo has been in constant contact and updates BEYOND Instagram posts on what exactly is going on. As I said, not worried about it, because I am receiving my information directly and not depending on an IG post.

Not at all. All I shared is what I have been told since I have direct contact. Wanted to clear that up.

@Snacktime : This is the second top redesign. After BB rolled the first one, there were things looked at and improved. I like the newer design as it should help to cut noise down and it looks to have better seals than the first design.

That is the final design. That is what I will receive. BB has also bought into the top and is pushing it. I notice he has links on his website. He is in Texas so I guess he decided to get his top in person and help spread the word. It also seems that he wanted to speed up the process for his top, so he was there doing what he does.

So whatever happens to his top, well that is his top. I am interested to see how it does hold up with his "brand" of wheeling. I do have every confidence though that I will receive a well-finished product and I will be happy with it.

Only problem, since BB is putting his together and doing the finishing touches, if it's a fail it'll look badly on Armadillo. I don't think it was a good idea for them to do and it won't be representative of the final product...

I kind of like the more rugged look, but really like the modularity idea. The ability to go open air without storing a full top in the garage is nice. I'm not in a rush, my soft top is fine for now... Just waiting a bit longer to see what pans out with Armadillo, and if it's a fail, I'm on the TOR list already with a March 4th delivery and I don't need to purchase until 1 week before expected shipment.

A valid point, but I believe it will not fail. I mean he rolled the prototype and it stood up to that. I think it stopped him from being hurt badly.

When I receive my top, I'll have it here, good or bad. But again I have faith it will be good. The concept is sound, and they have been meticulous in testing and going over the details.

Yeah, I agree with you and I'm hopeful as well. None of these other options would have survived a roll like that either, and it did it with very little damage! Their dates have slid slightly, but nothing like ADV, and their updates on IG are regular. They had mentioned before to expect Squareback updates at the end of Dec, but that was before all the revisions on their current Slantback. I asked again last week about the Squareback updates and they mentioned they wouldn't be posting content on it until the Slantback is 100% complete...

I'd appreciate if you could share any further updates Armadillo sends as it seems you're getting a bit more detail as a buyer. I tried to get them to join as a vendor early on, to promote, but that didn't pan out.

So BB did a custom gloss white paint job on his top. He purchased the raw aluminum. As it has been said, the Raw Aluminum allows you to paint the top any colour you want.

I honestly thought the Raw Aluminum looked better but to each their own. Have to say the paint job came out nice paint-wise.
