This won't be applicable to most.. but because I have the double sheer heim steering links I am limited to less potential positive offset than others. Otherwise, from memory, you should have a lot of room to work with (2 or so inches).

This is a random pic I have of the front (bad angle.. but there is probably less than an inch between the inside rim of the wheel and my steering link hardware. The line in the pic is just the breather line. Wheel specs stated previously.

Yea that is looking a little tight.... I better stick with my +30 and see how it clears.

Could probably get more clearance going to a 20 and then trying to increase positive offset but I am hot so sure I want to do that.... I would go with a 15 if it would clear but those would not even clear a stock brake.

all the pictures i've found here show the sas wheels are +30mm
2021-bronco-factory-rims-wheels-specs-12-jpg.jpg

so i think the net width reduction (assuming you're starting with a Sasquatch badlands) would be 2 inches overall.

that's before adding ~ 7 inches of portal
I did some research and most came up with 35, but looking at pictures on Ebay for takeoffs, and yes, they are all ET30 like above.

Thanks for the corrections!

A net of 5" width increase is not bad for the lift you get from the portals. Not bad at all...

I would suggest a little extra width is probably good to try and compensate for the increased height for the center of gravity.

I agree. However, trails on the east coast can get very tight at the "local" parks.

They do here as well.... I do like a narrow vehicle.... but I am trying to find the positive.

Some of our "narrow" trails will have a 400 foot drop on one side and rocks bigger than your vehicle on the other (these 360 cameras are really nice!).... We also have lots of forested trails..... That is how you earn your Idaho "racing stripes". I am sure you guys back east have your own name for them.

Around here I hear the term "pin stripes". I have a few on my Bronco already. The gwagen had awesome thick paint, but still plenty of pin stripes even though it was noticeably narrower than the Bronco.

It's hard for me to judge the increase in width. There are plenty of trails wide enough for the BRaptor around here. I usually went out with typical Wranglers on 35's, so keeping close to those dimensions is always on my mind. I see a broader mix of models now with 4runners and tacomas, so I'm sure I'm making width a bigger issue than it is.
Full size are no-gos, but I know there is a big difference between full size body's and mid-size body's with full size track width.

I did a test run at Twin Mountains OHV Park outside Kinta, OK on the 1st... I had several trails where both mirrors were folded in by tree trunks on both sides at the same time lol.. just had one occasion where the rear tire poke actually tried to climb the tree then moved me over to clear it lol. Was interesting... and I'm glad I had PPF and ceramic... no permanent pin stripes on the paint (some minor on the back of the mirror housings; I didn't' check the top of the hard top).

Chainsaw'll fix that! lol I assume you ain't got a lot of 100" wide axles rolling around out there.

Dang, I was at the K Trail/Talihina that Saturday. I got some trail stripes (;)) pretty good on a little backside I tried off 271 just south of the K Trail. OnX you lied! lol No portals, yet, of course.

Worst part, though, was driving down a gravel road just east of Zafra at 7am and hitting a booby trap on the road. Flat tire, paint on the passenger side. Damn bastards.

Get caught cutting down a tree in the park and one will no longer be allowed in the park. ;)

Cut a tree down in a State Forest and you might as well just surrender your bank account. ;)

Been down those roads. ;)

Had a couple of young trees getting large enough to block the view of the mountains at the cabin. Forest Service would not allow us to cut down any living trees, Dead Snags only. SO.... decided to attract the deer with some salt licks, that was fine with the forest service.... Needless to say we now have deer and a great view of the mountains.

Okay... just more info for whomever is interested.

I finally took the time to use the Ford ProCal today... got the tire revs per mile and gearing adjusted to the max parameters allowed... also got the Ford Performance Tune for the 2.7L flashed...

It is a different beast.

Reminder - I have 4.46 gears and the 1.22 portal hub factor for an effective 5.4412. My tires are 523 revs per mile (Nitto Trail Grappler MT's "40"" 39.76)... so I set the procal to 5.38 gears and 579 revs per mile (for the 37" BFG KO2 size; minimum setting). My cruise at 65 is 70mph GPS. My cruise at 69 is 75 GPS. That is not terrible (before it was like 63 is 75). RPM at 75 GPS was 2.2k steady, slight uphill still 2.2, slight downhill 2.1. About the same as before.

0-90mph GPS is smooth as butter and surprisingly tame and controlled and quiet. It doesn't feel like 40's or 90mph.

I'm very happy. Excited to get my downpipes, exhaust, CAI, etc. in over the next couple weeks.
