Can forscan change the programming so when I choose sport mode it doesn’t automatically go into 4A? I hate always switching back to 2wd.

Probably not, unless you can find the coding from the Bronco Raptor and see if its compatible. For some reason on the Raptor, sport is 2wd.

Interesting. I’ll look more into that. That is odd they decided it should be 2wd in the raptor.

I use to switch it to 2wd all the time but one day I wanted to test the speed difference between sport in 4A and 2wd so I tested 0-60 using the obd port. 4A was faster by a good amount. Now I just leave it in 4A.

Why would you think that’s it’s faster in 4a? I could see this if conditions were slick to cause it to slip so 4a would be activated, but in dry conditions this would baffle me.

I don’t have sport in my Badlands unfortunately but in my F150 with the 2.7 in any mode from a standing start, if I floor the accelerator, the tires break loose so 4A would definitely be quicker out of the hole because it would eliminate wheelspin.

4A is absolutely faster off the line. Flooring it in 2H in normal sets off traction control or causes wheel spin with it off.

Whenever I WOT in 4A, my Bronco will squad a lot more than 2H.
Therefore I think it is faster. If it is not, it definitely makes me feel sportier/faster :p

I would just leave it in 4A unless you toggle between Normal and Sport very often.

I use Sport on 2H because of the extra load that the front tires get in 4A. Also, I can feel more vibration (and noise) from the drivetrain when on 4A, especially over 40MPH.

I use Sport mode mostly on mountain roads for the improved throttle response and engine braking when going downhill. I can hear the inside front tire gripping the pavement when on 4A even with no rear tire slip. I do use 4A when the pavement is wet for the front grip.

In 2h sport my little 4cyl black diamond will break tires loose enough to activate traction control sometimes. If its raining hard enough Ill occasionally switch to 4h.

I noticed too, when my vehicle in 4A and I put in reverse after it’s parked overnight on a slight incline (driveway) it makes a slight “pop” in transfer case, like something is “bound up”. Have you noticed same?
