I will dispute this claim.

ASS doesn’t engage at outside temperatures of 90° or more, so it rarely had ever shut off the engine in my Bronco for the first 4 months I owned it (I live a few miles from the sun). As soon as the morning temps cooled off enough, and the ASS started engaging at the 23 traffic lights I drive through on my daily commute, my gas mileage jumped up.

And a month later when the afternoon temps dropped enough for the ASS to start engaging on my way home, another jump in gas mileage.

I do understand that the ASS is way more annoying on the Auto tranny compared to my manual, so I don't mind all the people in Autos disabling it. But on the manual, if I know I am not stopping long (like stop signs), I just don't release the clutch and ASS doesn’t engage. And since the clutch starts the engine back up, and I have to hit the clutch to get going anyway, there is no more of a delay to get going than just the normal delay of having a vehicle that needs to be put into gear manually each time you stop. 😁😁
I have no doubt your fuel economy went up but whether it’s due to ASS or due to cooler temperatures and the engine getting a bigger pop from colder air in combustion remains to be seen and would be hard to prove either way. What I do dispute is the reason they incorporate it on the vehicles in the first place. I believe that has everything to do with emissions and nothing to do with fuel economy. Maybe a Ford engineer can jump on and help us answer that question.

Added additional crossbars to the factory roof rack. The front crossbar is the OEM from Ford accessories and the rear is from Mabbett. Ford should have made the roof rack this way from the start rather than trying use the same one for both the 2 door and 4 door. Also added a neat decal to the windshield.

That’s definitely not true… On days when it’s 98F and 98% humidity here in Arkansas, I’ve had my Bronco engine shut off at an intersection.

From the F-150 Raptor forum, if the engine is off for more than 7 seconds, you save fuel. It does take a little fuel to restart, that is why it has to be off more than 7 seconds. The new gen F 150 Raptor has been out almost 6 years and no reports of starter failures, so my guess is that Ford engineered the starter to handle the load. If the engine does not run, it is not using gas. At long lights, it does save you gas.

Bucky hit 5,000 miles today, so oil change (and installed the Ronin easy oil drain plug that I should have had at the first oil change) and 5-tire rotation. The little things make me happy 😬

I think this depends on the A/C system. My high package with the dual zone auto A/C does not engage ASS all summer long here in the blast furnace. Once it starts cooling down, I'll notice my ASS working again in the evenings, then all day long now that it's actually cool out.

Folks with the mnual A/C seem to have different result with their ASS on hot days.

Yesterday did 7 Mile Rim trail. Sunny, mid 50's. Had to take a few poser shots as the scenery is so great. Went out/down Wipe out Hill, which according to the dash is a 35% down hill. After that, had to stop for a shot of the Bronco and President Trump rock.

Covers the pinch welds too. ;)
Mostly. I have rock rails also that are easy to swap out. Loosen 2 bolts and remove 2 bolts for each side. The steps aren't really needed. But rather they do a great job of catching gravel.
