Hi Folks. We've got the MGV in our Badlands with the manual seats. My wife is 5 foot and the forward/back seat adjustment bar under the front of the seat is a little tough to reach for her. I'm wondering if there are any aftermarket options to extend the reach of the bar so it's easier to access, like an extension bar or lever. I've been searching online but haven't found any solutions.

Welcome any thoughts or suggestions? TIA.

Probably a very simple 3D printing solution to this. Maybe @Mabett has something in the works, or something to consider in the future.

I'm not sure if this would work, or help, but have you considered using a "pail opener?" You can find them at most hardware stores. Although it's intended to lift lids off pails, I could see this being helpful to reach down and pull up on the manual seat adjuster, while pulling forward.

Just an idea!

Use an old screwdriver and about 10 zip ties. Zip tie the metal part of the driver to one of the bars running front-to-back and you have the handle of the driver to lift up and push down.

just my $.02

Similar size rod, some heat to bend, a few minutes with a welder and some gloss black paint. Easy peasy.

Just put a strap on it. That's the easiest/cheapest thing I can think of.

Get a trampoline spring puller. Electrical tape around the hook to prevent scratching the bar. Or use a clamp to attach it on the right side of the seat so it's out of the way.

In addition to the aforementioned suggestions, you might want to consider the Easy Handle at www.myeasyhandle.com, which is specifically designed for the purpose of facilitating "the horizontal adjustment of vehicle seats with a bar activated lock releasing mechanism." It is priced at $12.95 plus S/H. I just ordered one for my wife to use in her new, 2024 Badlands.
