Still need to make a couple of adjustments to the buckle straps to lift the rear a couple of inches and will add a “safety ratchet strap” with separate eye bolts as I tend to leave top off for extended periods of time, but overall pleased with the Harkin Hoister kit. Instructions are very detailed, recommend reading through them a couple of times prior to install.

I installed mine a couple days ago but haven't lifted the top off yet due to rain but things went smoothly. It does lift my heavy floor jack very easily though :)

Impressive. Very clean install. Looks like it has always been in your garage. Congrats!

Thanks, haven’t had the top on since late July but time to concede to weather…we’re forecasted for heavy rain this Winter.

I have had mine installed since the earlier this year, works well and raises it evenly.

Nice, I still need to raise mine in the rear a couple of inches, but top going on for Winter today, will level out when I next remove it.

Question for you, are you concerned with the lift rope indenting the weatherstripping? You can see I’ve inserted pool noodle between rope and weatherstripping. Would rather have strap against the weatherstripping, but the strap to line knots would limit the total lift height by several inches…

Here just north of Wichita, we will gladly accept any extra from you out west. Been extreme or exceptional drought conditions all year. I have the Harken kit as well. Will be a retirement project next summer. I was thinking instead of straps on weatherstripping, to run two 2x6's with some carpet padding (keep from sliding) cross ways. Then hooks on the ends of boards to lift by straps.

Lol, first time in a long while that most of CA isn’t in severe drought conditions! Fingers crossed for decent rains & snow this Winter. Interesting idea on the 2x6’s, having a hard time visualizing how you’d get 2x6s through the rear window area - unless you leave window in open position when in lifted?position? Goid luck sir and please post pics of what you eventually do.

LOL, one of my fav garage mods “Modutile” interlocking 12” composite tiles. Much more cost effective than having epoxy coating ($1,250.00 vs $3,400.00 - 450sq.ft.) and provides thermal barrier over the concrete. Multiple colors and go to Modutile website, $1 /sq.ft. Less than Amazon pricing!

I haven't but its always good to be over protective. I dump mine off the straps since I have room to store it when its off. I am paranoid about leaving it hung above the bronco since well if something were to happen you cant really replace them easily.

I should have cleaned up my thought process while typing. I was thinking of the 2x6's crossways underneath between the guide pins for the lift.

Soooo true! I’m going to install a separate ratchet strap with separate eyebolts exactly for that reason - especially when it’s going to be off for awhile👍
