Disable honking when shutting doors?

I know it sounds petty, but does anyone know how to disable the double honk when you shut your doors when the Bronco is running? Thank you!!

leave the key in the bronco when it's running. or use forscan.

Forscan is the only option to solve the problem permanently (that I know of). It is really easy -- search the forum for "Forscan" You can also search Youtube for basic "how-to" videos.

I could be wrong but I think its the thing they cut off of some boys when they are born.

It an application that accesses your Bronco's computer via the OBD port using a special cable (or a Bluetooth version that does the same thing), and it can basically edit configuration settings in the computer. Some of them are easy to adjust (menu driven) and others that aren't directly integrated into the app you have to adjust some number values that are documented.

It's not THAT hard to use, but I wouldn't say its intuitive either. I've offered to quite a few local folks to do it for them. When we're done in like three minutes they're like "wait what, thats it? I brought you a six pack of beer for three minutes of work"

I bought and used this on my 23 OBX and it worked perfectly. Just put it in your diagnostic port, let it do its thing, then take it out. Double honk gone. Cost $99. To revert back to normal just reinsert the flash device and it will put it back to factory double honk default.
