With the brick like built and many flat surfaces of the Bronco, its too easy to detect it by radar or laser. Besides doing a massive google search on this topic and getting lost in the topic, I thought maybe I should do a query here and see what you guys think about the best on the market.

Price and effectiveness plus laser jamming is what I'm most interested in.
Do you have any experience with the newer units?

Best ever for me over many years of using various detectors.... Valentine 1 or 2... don't need jammers with these beauties.... they can hear over hills, tell you which direction laser is coming from.... $400-$500 and worth it. On highways, regardless of the speed limit , I travel over it... & without reserve and in full security. Hoping I don't jinx myself.... but not a ticket nor stopped in five years+.... !

I have to laugh. I never got so many speeding tickets as when I had a radar detector. Good luck

See....! You didn't have a Valentine...!! Then again, you have to pay attention to the alarm when it goes off.... I've almost blown it a few... many times!

I have a 20 yr old Valentine 1, that I retired 5 yrs ago. In the Bronco I keep finding myself speeding more than usual so I started thinking about detectors again. Now, are you saying my old V1 is not outdated?

I had my V1 from 2006 which has served me well. About 3 years ago, they reached out to me to upgrade my V1 for a brand new V1 Gen 2. I forgot how much I paid for the upgrade but definietey much less than buying it new. Still serving me well and no tickets!

The Bronco brick shape is speed limiting to begin with.

+1 Valentine...in the cars that cause me to go fast.

Valentine 1 or one of the Escort 360 models (which copied the V1 direction arrows as soon as the patent expired)

Uniden R7 (or R8 for the latest model) works well for me in my sports car. Saved me numerous times.
