I just received my DV8 Off road compressor storage compartment mount. It may be a few days/weeks before I get it all situated, but I have to find a tank that either fits inside or I'll be mounting an aluminum tank outside just behind the compartment and behind the tow hitch, with air horns situated just forward of the frame cross-member and rear axle. And I have to wait for all my wiring to come in and run all that - I only want to take the panels and carpeting off once. I plan on running a 1/0 gauge power line to the rear and having a power distro block there. Then need to remove the headlights to get at the horn wiring and send horn trigger signal to the rear air release solenoid.

How does it not fit? The only difference is the exhaust - that could be a problem since I didnt even ask.

Yeah I totally missed that. Gonna try and do a dry fit without putting any of the stick on insulation or waterproofing just to see but it definitely looks like it should fit. The pics in their installation book are exactly what's under the BRaptor with the exception of the muffler and it looks like it clears the exhaust pipes. Gonna try it this week to see - but will have to drop the extra tow brackets first.

I tried calling DV8 and they did not have anyone from R&D available that could answer the question as to where it doesn't fit. Looking at the instructions/photos and the underside of my Raptor I'm struggling to see where it doesn't fit. The only thing I can think is there is an additional wiring harness that spans the cross member just a head of the storage compartment, but I think that could be relocated. The only other thing that it could be is the additional exhaust pipe hanger bracket, but I won't know that for sure until I absolutely try and dry fit it, which means I have to take the additional towing support brackets down.

Will the towing support brackets go back up ir need to be totally removed?

It looks like it should go back up. Do you see any major differences between your regular bronco and the braptor - I know the muffler is on the way to see too much but I just don't get their rationale. I'll try and get to it by this weekend to see if it works.

Nothing major but was not really looking in that area. There seams to be a lot of room underneath on both on that area.
I really hope it fits!
If it does this is my mext mod on the Braptor.

I just installed the DV8 air compressor storage compartment and it fits the Bronco Raptor perfectly fine. I do not see any clearance issues. The only thing that probably needs to be adjusted is the insulation tape above the exhaust to wrap up around the side as well. And by the way, you do not even need to remove the tow hitch brackets. You can insert the storage tray from the inside, wiggle it into place, pull it up and screw it into place.

Honestly - if I didn't have the slide out tailgate and had to remove it - I would've been done in 10 minutes. This is a must do if you are looking for a compressor mount.

@DV8offroad let me know if you need any help with test fitting other Raptor goodies!

Now to find an air storage tank that fits up there

That is awesome!
Although now I have to buy that and the arb twin compressor and everything that goes with it!!!
Ohh well, another project to do!
Are you going to try and put a tank in the storage compartment or some where else?
Looks like there would be room underneath in front of the pocket for a tank out of the way.

I think I can get a 6" diameter tank right behind it. Otherwise there's lots of room up under / along passenger frame rail. Yep 6-7" tank will fit right behind the tow hitch area - now to figure out bracketry so that my tank has a low port for drain. Then once the big parts come in - where to put pressure regulator/water filter, horns and air chuck.

Any update/thoughts on the DV8 Compressor Mount for an ARB twin compressor? I am curious about your thoughts in regards to ease of use of a compressor. Like are you still able to access the ARB compressor air filter to clean the filter pad or is that now out of reach?

Haven't gotten around to installing yet just doing some mockups - BUT I am definitely leaning towards turning the compressor around so that the air filters are easier to reach. I don't know what that's going to mean from a wiring perspective, but that is my thought initially based on my first test fit according to the DV8 instructions.

I am also thinking about installing a set of soft or medium soft rubber feet in between the storage compartment floor and the compressor mounting bracket to hopefully absorb some of the vibration and or noise.

As far as other accessibility goes, I'm planning on having a remote air truck anyway so I really won't need to get at the compressor. I also have the slightly raised floor as a result of having the slide out tailgate.

I have a lot of things to consider because I'm also incorporating my air horns and I want to make sure that I have my factory horn as a backup. I will be running a 1/0 gauge battery cable all the way to the back with a power distribution block to power the compressor, but also having the storage tank and my air horns so quite a bit to sort out.

I will keep you guys posted though.
