The seats seem comfortable enough. I just wish Ford didn’t go so damn cheap on every single thing they could. my cheap A$$ one trim level from the bottom CX5 has power driver AND passenger seats. Absolutely no reason ford couldn’t do that. They have an electronic transfer case selector, window controls and an LCD all in plain open sight so the “but it’s a washout interior” argument doesn't hold water. They went cheap plain and simple.

You need to see a chiropractor. Your symptom is typical of a hip misalignment. That causes your legs to shift unevenly to handle the gas/brake pedals. Your spine compensates and your muscle pull. Then you have a sore back for a long time because you keep repeating the cycle.

In a former life, I used to drive an average 2,500 miles a month between our factories. It isn't the seats. If it was, you would have been feeling that 25,000 miles ago. Bad car seats are felt the first 3 minutes you sit in them.

Save your money. The chiropractor is your least expensive option.

For what it's worth, it might not necessarily be as simple as ford cheaping out .

I am short, disgustingly so, and it is incredibly hard to operate the clutch in my mustang and enter/exit without moving the seat back afterwards. You might think, oh well a power seat would be so fast and convenient to make this no big deal... But I also have a Camaro with manual seats and I find adjusting the manual Camaro seats infinitely easier and faster than waiting for my slow ass mustang power seats to move back and forth.

Obviously this is a very personal issue, but I have to ask... If you don't stuffer from a similar height disability, Hiw often are you adjusting your seats and is it really that awful not having a seat motor?

As much as I love being able to raise the seats in my escape to help my short ass see above the steering wheel (okay that's a slight exaggeration LOL) I otherwise HATE power seats.

TLDR... some of us actually prefer manual seats. I know it may not be your preference, but I am very thankful to still have the option for manual seats here in 2023.

I have the leather seats my only complaint it that the portion that you sit on, the lower section of the seat, could be longer. To better support your legs. Have been ok with the upper half and lumber so far. But yah it's not a X5. Possibly some kind of extra padded katskin? They might even be able to customize the padding?

You are a genius. I cant believe we never saw it before... an ADL argument for manual/mechanical/analog modern cars and car features... you absolute legend! This is the most profound thing I have ever read on this forum.
Someone get us some lawyers. 🤣

All jokes aside, I 100% agree with you. MY GF and I have a height difference. being able to have manual seats so we can easily adjust around each other when sharing our family vehicles becomes way more convenient with manual seats, especially when offroading. I would pay premium for an option with manual windows, seats, and stripped down vehicle tech/electronics.

Good stuff, thanks for sharing your experience.

Yep, s/o is 4'9 on a good day and finding a happy medium in vehicles we can both drive is a stretch. Having power seats but no "memory" function drive us nuts sometimes. Manual seats are so much quicker.

I love my MGV seats - but, 100% suggest the seat jackers. Changed the whole game for me and my passenger. I am about to order a set for our new Ranger. It helps seat your butt firmly in the seat and supports the back of your legs.
Do you put yours in the back of the seat or the front?

Cannot agree with you more on the CX5. I love my Bronco but I was floored at the drop in amenities that were standard in my base level CX5 that were just no where to be found in my Bronco.

This is what I think it is. It has bucket seats that lift your knees higher than your hips. Bad for your hips and like you said the spine has to compensate.

@NatureBoy - they’re designed to lift the front.

Well said, makes sense to me.

Your last paragraph….I totally get the personal preference thing because I hate the MGV and ordered strictly based on getting cloth…which I was screwed out of by Job2. Oh well what can ya do right!!

Found that simply lowering and raising the height between the lowest and highest setting was able to accommodate both my 4'10" girlfriend and myself (5'10") with only a slight adjustment to the rearview mirror. Manual seats FWIW.

80k miles and these are some of the most comfortable seats I have ever owned.

Hey Y'all!

I have a 2022 4dr Badlands Lux w/ MGV(Took delivery June 2022 and put 27k miles on it already). It has manual seat adjustments and I can get it to "comfortable enough" but on drives of 1hr+ I get pretty bad back pain. I did a 9hr straight drive and my back hurt for like 2 weeks afterwards 🤦

For comparison sake, I had a 2019 Mustang Bullitt before this and I could take it on 4hr+ drives with no pain.

I'm not an ergonomics expert, so I'm not quite sure what the source of this discomfort is. Has anyone else had a similar experience and a fix?

I'm open to the idea of replacing the whole seat, if that's what it takes 😂 I love my Bronco and would like to keep it for a very long time... But if I can't solve this, I might have to trade it for something else 😔
my 2021 bd 4dr sas seats are great im 5"10 222lbs ?maybe drive your lower lumber adj

Agree. Maybe something like this to support the legs.

That's a bummer, I don't understand at all why ford got rid of cloth seats. That's one of the reasons I like the heritage edition.

Just an idea, but you could buy some cloth seats covers from the parts counter and redo your seats. I wouldn't even be surprised if someone here might buy your mgv covers to help offset the cost.
