Well, my 2023 I got at 2021 price protection of $51,100 now prices out at $60,600 w/the mid package (omits Ford360 cameras), or $63,115 with the high package (really Lux, which I would not want... except the cameras and maybe adaptive cruise, the latter I don't have now). Oh yeah, that's with the 2.7L since you can no longer get the 2.3L in the BL with the auto.
Outside of the HD steering rack (which would've been nice) and the forced 2.7L, it's the same truck. That's 23.5% more expensive MSRP three years later. At that price, I wouldn't have bought one because I wouldn't have wanted the payments.
Ford is just incorporating the ADM into the MSRP. Nobody had to pay ADM if they were patient, but money burns a hole in the pocket when you want something (to spend it, usually). Eventually sales will dip and that will become rebates ("$5k off! End of Summer sale!"). I think we got a year or three at least before that reality is at all likely.
