I’ve been holding out for a happy customer (other than a beta tester). Im sitting on the cash to do this finally, but I’m not committing until I see one delivered.

Hey @ADV Fiberglass - Today's my birthday.
I'm not expecting anything, but something small would be nice...
Like a tracking number ;)

A happy birthday would be with a hardtop on your Bronco. I'll wish you a "Mediocre Birthday" at this point.

Hope you have an awesome ok day!

I hate to be "that guy," but each new video that comes out I get less and less excited for the hard top. Not because I think less of the product itself - More so that it's tiring to continue to play this waiting game.

No more videos please, other than the installation video.
Why do you think the videos have anything to do with the delays? That is silly. I happen to like the videos. Sure its marketing material, also good information. I forked over the money and waiting for my top. Keep the videos coming!

Unfortunately the video’s just come off as salt in the wound at this point. All any of the early preorder holders want is either a solid shipping date or an answer to why that can’t be provided. The videos (especially since there is nothing new in them) only serve to remind people that they have been out $6k+ for a year and a half with no end to the wait in sight. It is only speculation because ADV simply won’t address the delay head on. Why no headliner in the videos? How come none are shipping at all. Surely they can complete one or two production units at this point. If not it is starting to look like there is a huge problem. My guess is ADV fears losing all of their orders if the speculation is true. Transparency is key and right now the videos only lead to more speculation and a reminder how far away delivery probably is, not to mention the other content they produce only shows that they are not 100% trying to get these out, otherwise every employee would be solely focused on this. One can only imagine that there is a problem and a few key people are trying to figure out the engineering and save this. Like I said pure speculation but the videos are just a reminder at this point.

I think the hold up now is the headliner as I don't see what else it could possibly be... I wish they would change the option to just ship without one though as I would prefer to get it earlier than wait.

They’ve denied this is the case multiple times though.
But it’s very strange to see no video mentioning the headliner.

"Who's hardtop is it anyways? Where no one knows what the hold up is and everyone's just angry and impatient (including me)..."

This is wild. The videos are just regurgitation more then anything at this point. I would order right now with a firm lead time or hell if any had been delivered.

I have been on forums for 20 years now for various different hobbies. The amount of times I have seen a vendor (even well known) string along customers with false hopes and promises go belly up after taking a bunch of customers money is scary. I certainly hope that never happens and eventually I can just click order and get one delivered with a realistic time frame.

as a first half hour ordered, I couldn't agree more,
I really thought it was going to be ALL HANDS ON DECK, and get the backlog out of the way.
it might be tricky getting some of the molding installed, but there should be tops being sent out.
I have bad feelings about the true reason,
but I have no choice to wait and wait and wait.
speaking of waiting, we are towards the end of August, and should be hearing something about the planned Sept shipments, hopefully It wouldn't now be October/November.
at least a date on the install video-- that shouldn't be too much of a secret

Finally a response from ADV that is informative. I reached out to them and here is their reply. I feel better now, maybe it will help everyone else with their frustrations.

"We are currently ramping up for final assembly and will contact you when your top is finished (Late September/into October). We do apologize for the consistent delays. It comes down to the fact that the supply chain has been nothing but difficult since the beginning of this project. We were unable to start final assembly till mid-late May because of the supply chain delays as many of you know. We ramped up very quickly with the hope and intent to catch up on supplier delays but noticed some minor quality control issues during the final assembly process. We ramped down, solved all the issues (which mainly had to do with procedures/processes), and now are at a slower rate of final assembly to ensure the quality is consistent. We were unable to start final assembly in the past because we did not have all necessary materials and because of that, we were unable to work through any potential final assembly kinks (quality control issues) beforehand. We could have been shipping tops a month ago but they would have been B quality (On a scale of 1-10, 10 being perfect, B would be 8). We made the executive decision to trash the un-passable parts and start the final assembly process again on those orders to ensure our customers receive the quality we are known for (A+). We know that the delays are less than ideal but the quality will be worth it. These QC/FA minor issues are nothing to worry about, this is simply us working through the initial stages of finally getting started on final assembly.
You have every right to be frustrated. Unfortunately, the supply chain was nothing but difficult during this project. On top of that, we had issues during the final assembly. Everything has been worked out and we are moving along but unfortunately, it has taken way more time than we have ever anticipated."
