Do you do installs at your facility there in Costa Mesa, or do you plan to?

Any drilling, or is it a direct bolt on?

I'm looking at your top, single piece, on my next year's budget.

Has Ford talked to you people directly as a possible supplier?

Why not be fully transparent with the customer and state what the Q.C. issues were/are? That response is really no different than anything they have said in the past And extremely vague.

As for the headliner, which they stated isn’t a problem, why have they yet to show one? Or even mention any details about it like the color or material it is made out of?

Great! 😉

I bought my Bronco off the lot, w/the soft-top.

I definitely want to go w/a hardtop.

Finally a response from ADV that is informative. I reached out to them and here is their reply. I feel better now, maybe it will help everyone else with their frustrations.

"We are currently ramping up for final assembly and will contact you when your top is finished (Late September/into October). We do apologize for the consistent delays. It comes down to the fact that the supply chain has been nothing but difficult since the beginning of this project. We were unable to start final assembly till mid-late May because of the supply chain delays as many of you know. We ramped up very quickly with the hope and intent to catch up on supplier delays but noticed some minor quality control issues during the final assembly process. We ramped down, solved all the issues (which mainly had to do with procedures/processes), and now are at a slower rate of final assembly to ensure the quality is consistent. We were unable to start final assembly in the past because we did not have all necessary materials and because of that, we were unable to work through any potential final assembly kinks (quality control issues) beforehand. We could have been shipping tops a month ago but they would have been B quality (On a scale of 1-10, 10 being perfect, B would be 8). We made the executive decision to trash the un-passable parts and start the final assembly process again on those orders to ensure our customers receive the quality we are known for (A+). We know that the delays are less than ideal but the quality will be worth it. These QC/FA minor issues are nothing to worry about, this is simply us working through the initial stages of finally getting started on final assembly.
You have every right to be frustrated. Unfortunately, the supply chain was nothing but difficult during this project. On top of that, we had issues during the final assembly. Everything has been worked out and we are moving along but unfortunately, it has taken way more time than we have ever anticipated."
That's the same response I've gotten before, except with a July/August timeframe, then later an august/September timeframe.
So, no it doesn't make me feel any better personally. And still no mention of the headliner/sound deadening.

This is turning into a "Duke Nukem Forever" situation...

I really love the look and the attention to detail of the ADV top, and while I didn't hate the look of the Anderdson top, if it's really just a hollow shell, that makes me cringe.

If you go back to the first two pages (11-1-22) of this thread and read what was said by @ADV Fiberglass it’s actually quite funny. Install videos and headliner pictures in a couple weeks, units shipping in December. 9.5 months later and none of which have come to fruition.

I thought that somewhere I had already read that response, with the time frames you mentioned.
thanks for saving me the time in going back and finding it.
I had also contacted them about the same time via their website and also got the sept time.---- not the October time though Late sept Oct is gonna put constraints on my install (labor in school) and I might have to go scrounge up friends. However, the way things are going it could be during either Thanksgiving or Christmas recess. I am on the east coast and delivery time is 1 week after loading.

So when did you place your initial order?

Is this the new bumped backed dates for day 1 or very early guys (March '22)? Is September still in play for guys who got an estimate of late August/September like @Kjbeggs ? Curious. I know they are trying but they make it sound like this is a three month process to assemble. The "last part" was the rubber supposedly that they received in May I believe. If they figured out the quality control issue surely a few are ready. I do feel for them if they had to destroy a bunch of units. Some of those early videos had quite a few laying around. This seems like they had to start from scratch on the panels.

Hope they ship as they are completed not as big batches. The content I want to see is this thing in buyers hands...not guys who gave them a top or some other favor. The only videos I want to see at this point are the assembly video and a video of that first customer unit getting loaded and out the door.

The skipping over every single question about the headliner is very strange. You’d think they might mention it at some point.

Why do you think the videos have anything to do with the delays? That is silly. I happen to like the videos. Sure its marketing material, also good information. I forked over the money and waiting for my top. Keep the videos coming!
There’s literally nowhere in my post that says the top is delayed due to the videos…
