(Actually, I have the same problem when I'm driving my Lamborghini, and someone says "Nice Ferrari." So I get it.)

Remember that Jeep came from “GP” or general purpose vehicle which is now known as an SUV. My boss call’s my Sport a Jeep! No big deal, it’s better than calling it a Prius.

And thousands of the "Jeeps" in World War Two were produced by Ford.

If they call mine a Jeep I sort of laugh and say Jeeps wish they could be like this. That is when I politely say it is a Bronco. Most people haven't seen anything but Jeeps in th last 30/40 years that even come close to this. Except it and move on.

I had a JK and a 79 Bronco and still have occasionally referred to my Bronco as a Jeep. As long as saying it doesn't turn it into a Jeep I'm good.

I’ve had my 78 K5 for almost 20 years… constantly asked if I still have my “Bronco” when I drove it people thought it was a Bronco. Most folks don’t know .
my issue is when people hear I have a bronco now they think it’s the sport.

Yep, people still don't understand why I've been waiting 3 years when they see Broncos (sport) all the time!

I simply say "Thank You". However, if they continue on, such as one interaction where she goes on to say "I usually don't like Jeeps", I'll correct them. "You must like Broncos, then! It's not a Jeep."
