I bought these IAG interior lights but have not installed them yet. It would be perfect if I could wire them to be controlled by the map light switch instead of opening the door or taking up an aux switch for them. My question is if I wire per the instructions will they be disabled when I disable the interior lights with the map light switch? The reason why I need them to be disabled is because when I'm camping I disable the lights so I can keep the doors open mainly the tailgate, and have access to my camping gear in the bronco without putting unnecessary drain on the battery.
There is an option brand new by another one of the established vendors here. Seems much easier to install and does exactly what you are asking for. Look around, don't want to hijack this thread :D

Yeah. It’s pretty annoying IAG didn’t take the time to offer that harness as well. They acted like it was a cure to cancer to get approved by the board before release.

Yes and well worth it. The only real pain point, literally, is splicing into the factory harness. Other than that it’s pretty straightforward. Took me about an hour
Agreed. I originally spliced into the power locks, so the lights would flash as the car got up to speed.

I'd highly recommend wiring it to the up fitter switches (Aux 6) if you have them. Huge advantage to have both working interior illumination and a way to quickly flip them on without opening the doors.

I have the Mabett dome light and the IAG lights. Huge difference. But IAG did take a lot more time than I thought It would take Dome lights take 5 minutes if you Want to start there.
How’s the temperature/color of the lights? Colder/blue, true white like daylight, or gross warm light 😂 any difference between dome and the IAG lights

Probably a silly question, can I install both the Mabett center light and the 4 post remotes lights together?

I am only slightly mechanical. Any suggestions on where to get these installed? I tried an IAG dealer but he only works on Subaru's. Not comfortable taking apart the fuse box and trying to splice things into a new truck.

Right at the firewall in the engine bay where all the powered aux wires come together. Reference pg. 455-456 of the owners manual.

Follow one of the videos. The only tough thing about the installation is finding the correct wire in the fuse panel to attach to. My fuse box harness was really short and it took a while to find the correct wire. These things give off tons of light. well worth it. I connected it to an aux switch as well.
Do you have to connect to the fuse box or can you go only to aux cable?
