Does anyone know if there is an easy fix or part number for a new one?

Vehicles built before 9/16/22, which I'm assuming yours was from your profile, would use part number ML3Z-2B623-AA

Someone needs to come out with full metal replacement hardware and lever. Anyone with a manual transmission would be eyeing it...
you'd have to tear apart the area near the interior fuses to heavy up the structure to mount a metal replacement 'switch'. someone's still going to go full gorilla and tear out the switch. (it's happened several times at Off-Roadeo NH on the standard switch)

i like the electronic brake switch design in my golf.
it's got a skinny little bar to lift that's clearly designed to require single finger forces.

Ya, "involved" process, but just like every other mod. Replacing a tie rod seems harder than toughening up the mount under the dash panel.

A bit over a year ago somebody posted a thread explaining how to put it back together again. My son-in-law tore mine out of there before I could explain how to release the brake. I bought a new one, but still have the repaired one too. It's not too difficult to put back together if you do it in the right order. I wish I had the time to track down the thread explaining it all, but I don't.

I could probably sell my repaired one for the right offer.

From the pictures it looks broken. Not to mention a brand new switch is only $10-15

At least four times that.
Okay. Not going to argue with you. Feel free to google the part number and pull up the 20-30 places that lists it for $10-15.
Retail price from Ford is $16.87.

The newer switch for vehicles built after 9/16/22 is much more at $71.45

You could always try the updated switch. I'm just not sure what exactly was changed.
However it may work, because the trim panel that it goes into was never updated from what I can see.
The part number for that switch is N2DZ-2B623-AA
