Hey Guys - I'm trying to make my 1st Forscan updates and when I hit the modules button it keeps giving me a warning screen that says Transmission Characterization Update. I go into it and it says to update my solenoid number like I changed the trans or something. The only thing I did was clear some DTC's then was going to start my backup of as built configs. Now when I hit ALL then the module button it takes me to this warning, any idea how to get around it so I can move forward?

What module are you trying to go into on that screen shot? Also why does it seem like it’s showing you trying to change the odometer?

Any module, when I hit the ANY then the module button this comes up. The odo was just me looking around then cancelling.

I’ve never had anything like this come up. So I’m not sure if it’s something you are doing wrong, or the program, but I would contact forscan before you accidentally change something you aren’t trying to.
Changing transmission solenoid strategy and ID codes will result in transmission damage.

This just happened after resetting the DTC codes and trying to read the modules. The message pops up, then there few are options

Must be something wrong with the program. This happens with newer model years. You’ll need to contact forscan to have them look into it. They’ll probably give you an updated beta version.

Are you running the ProCal tune from Ford? Did you change previously the gear ratio?
Im just trying to understand what else we have in common besides the DTC codes being cleared by FORScan

I did open an inquiry with FORScan, but I did not hear back anything from them yet

I didn't do anything other than turn it on then clear the existing DTC's, when I hit the module button it just popped up. I did look around to see if I could figure it out but it seems to be associated with the PCM, I can pull up all the other modules. Keep me posted on what Forscan says.

I did the same thing but in my case it was a dumb user error. I didn't understand the Forscan program, that I had to move the highlighting of modules down from the module at the top, the Transmission Characterization Update module, and select the module that I wanted to look at before hitting the right arrow button in the bottom left corner to bring up the details of the specific module.
So I was simply in the wrong module. 😐
