Well, that's why I called Samantha yesterday, to confirm (before making a non-refundable deposit) that I had the correct discounts. Of course they were correct.

But @Zach@Granger let me ask you this, what do you do if the vehicle is damaged in shipping or before delivery? Are we out our deposit for a vehicle that cannot be delivered?

I ask because Broncos have been destroyed before delivery before.
Good question.

has anyone talked about the private offer certificates expiring?

That should not be an issue. Must be some sort of accounting thing that they do them by quarters. Should renew automatically or without them having to enter the info again.

How does Granger handle the Retail Price Protection? The one that will cover the latest 2/10/23 increase? Do they apply at the time of sale or send a check after it is refunded to them in the 60-90 days?

I'm wondering this as well. Hopefully at time of sale so we don't get hit with the taxes on the refunded amount

I am one of the lucky ones who finally got a ViN.
After a 2.5 year wait, the salesperson is demanding a deposit.
A NON REFUNDABLE deposit.
So many of us have stuck with your dealership through all the allocation issues and now this deposit that we were told would not be required is getting shoved at us?
Here’s a quote from the salesperson Samantha:
“I took over Broncos last year. Yes, there was never a time I mentioned it, but you did not place your reservation with me nor did you ask. Deposits are not collected until Broncos get picked up by Ford due to the wait time it has been. Typically, when ordering a vehicle, the deposits are collected right off the bat, but Broncos have been to crazy to expect a customer to do a $500 non refundable deposit years in advance.”

why would I ask if a deposit was now required? I was never informed that someone new took over Broncos and why would that change your company policy?
it’s kind of an off-putting response.

can you help here? My build isn’t until April if it even gets built then.
Is a non refundable deposit really your policy now after all this time with being told it was not required?
Here are a few quotes from other threads I pulled up with a quick search. The deposit has been part of the deal since 2020.

First of all sorry for the long absence, will try to post more often... I am not able to talk well so I am not taking phone calls right now...
[…]
Granger will be collecting a deposit total of $500...
[…]
No, not until the order is previewing for scheduling would we place an additional deposit.
This is a good question. Originally our plan was to take no deposit in addition to the $100 reservation deposit. But with rules penalizing dealers on future allocation if we do not deliver the ordered vehicle to the reservation holder, that may change.

The last thing we would want is someone who is not fully committed ordering a Bronco, backing out and that then causing a delay in someone else on our list receiving their Bronco. The specifics of Ford's policy haven't been handed down, but when they are, we'll make a final decision on this.
Yes, we are contacting everyone once we see a preview and verifying information, collecting final deposit and solidifying the order.

Thanks. Just seems like it should be given directly to the buyers since not all of us are on these forums constantly.
I’m over it now.

I don’t follow the forums very closely so I missed it.
I’ve ordered 3 new fords in the last 3 years besides this one (and purchased them all) and have never had a deposit required.
I just wish Granger had been explicit about this requirement from the get go.
I received multiple emails from Granger spelling out exactly what would be required at each state of the process - including that I make a deposit once the vehicle was scheduled for build. Since being issued my build date, like that of a lot of others, has shuffled around a bit but it's currently scheduled to be built later this month and I'm really looking forward to it (reservation 7/2020). What you are reporting just seems contrary to my experience and that reported by pretty mujch everyone else here but that doesn't diminish YOUR experience, of course! Sorry you won't be getting your Bronco but I certainly respect your decision to stand firm on your convictions. If you see a VB 2Door Badlands being driven around by an old guy with a big smile - wave, and I promise I'll wave back even if you aren't in a Bronco.

Presumably you could apply it to another vehicle, but if the circumstances were that bad where another Bronco order or another vehicle wouldn't work or arrive too late, I'm sure they'd refund it. $500 is too little to burn customer relations over.

Yes, if we can't deliver the vehicle to you we would refund the deposit.

@Zach@Granger Any word on how Granger plans to handle the 2/10 price increase?

It will be a non issue. I bought a Bronco Sport from Zach’s store last year. Price had gone up 1k from the time I ordered until the time I picked it up. Wasn’t even a question. Zach’s team knows to charge the price on what was ordered and not what the current price is. You should have the agreed upon price not including your Private Offer. It will be based on when you switched to a 2023 or changes made before February 10th.

I’ve noticed recently that some vehicles that should have signature LEDs standard are getting a $500 credit shown on the window sticker for base LED headlights. Very grateful to be scheduled but I’d be kind of bummed if my badlands didn’t have the signatures. Hopefully the situation improves with our builds but I'm doubtful…We won't know until the window stickers start showing.

I recognize that I'm probably in the minority, but this sounds great. Get the better looking base headlights, cash back, and a more unique build! Win/win/win.

That' one of the reasons I held off buying my trailer tow harness. I bought the hitch but will wait on the harness as they differ depending on the type of lights.
