So I had MIC and SAS, dropped SAS but kept MIC. Cancelled. No $2500, no one at Ford can say why. The dealership got ahold of "Paris" at Ford who claims the $2500 is only if I special order a new one. Total dipshit. No one at Ford has any clue and refuses to even try to help.

For those that say I'm whining f you. I work my ass off for my money this would have paid the taxes on the vehicle.

Weren’t there 3 things that needed to be dropped? Sounds like you didn’t qualify.
correct me if I am wrong.

No one questioned your work ethic or how much you earn.

Are you sure the original dealer actually cancelled your order?

You don't qualify because you did not drop MIC

"You are a current non-Wildtrak series customer and modify your order within the existing trim series to remove any existing Molded-In Color Hardtop (excludes two-door orders), Sasquatch Package, or Lux Package."

Technically, if he had any combo of the sins, he would have to drop them all to qualify on his current order.

If he cancelled an order with those sins, he qualifies.

@BigHoof replied as I am typing this, and brings up a great point. Did they in fact cancel his original order to activate the cert? I would assume it wasn't an immediate thing to create the cert, it would take a day or so.

Also, why didn't the dealership, especially if it's his son's per his signature if I am reading that right, do as much leg work as possible before closing the sale to make sure he got the $2500, if he was entitled to it.

Something still seems off, but I'm sorry OP that you are going through that. I still don't believe it is Ford's actual fault, but it sucks you are losing out on the $2,500. At minimum the dealership should make it right.

He would because as he stated he cancelled an order with the sins. There is a different thing at play here too. Like didn't wait long enough for a certificate to be generated, or his order wasn't actually cancelled.

I posted some of this in another thread and want to reiterate the highlighted portion again. When they say "in-stock", my understanding is that it has to be dealer "stock" (blue window sticker) vehicle, not a certified used or abandoned retail (green window sticker) unit.
Interesting point that definitely needs some clarification. If abandoned retail orders are not eligible then it severely shrinks the pool of rebate eligible Broncos. It would also essentially eliminate the cancelation incentive as one could just about order an equivalent to most available dealer stock Broncos (low optioned floppy tops) and expect it to get built this year.

@broncoj11 did you apply your modification/cancellation rebate to a cancelled order or dealer stock??

Edit. This impacts my current situation as I am leaning towards using a modification/cancelation rebate on a HE build.

Mine was actually dealer stock. Pretty lucky find honestly.

I was contemplating cancelling and rolling the dice on finding one. But if it is only blue stickers, no way.

not specific to wildtrak only, can be any trim. but you would have to drop all 3 of those constraints.
That's what i said. Do you understand what "or" means?

@Alpha1_Silverback and/or @FordVideoGuy can either of you confirm that if one was to cancel their current Bronco order and collect the $2500 modification/cancelation rebate can that rebate then be applied to a retail order (abandoned or otherwise) or is it strictly limited to dealer stock orders only?

In OP's scenario, it appears that he tried to use his own modification/cancelation rebate and apply it to a retail Bronco his son ordered and walked away from. Maybe it didn't work because of this fine print detail?

Clarification is definitely needed before the March 7th deadline.

So Ford told me to contact the original canceling dealer and make sure they did it correctly we shall see but they all are saying I should qualify and don't see why it's not in there.

On another note be extremely careful when you get a green sticker Bronco or an abandoned order. Apparently a lot of incentives will not apply to those orders only the blue sticker dealer stock .

At a minimum the dealership said if the certificate ever pops up if I can get it to go through they will apply for it and send me the check

Just be careful in this whole process and make sure all your I's are dotted and your T's crossed.

In the end I realize no one owes me anything but it sure would have been nice if some of this would have carried through.

that's not what you said. this is what you said: "No, you have to have Wildtrak, SAS, MIC or LUX to be eligible for he $2500."

so basically you said you have to have: wildtrak, with sas, mic, or lux to be eligible for it.

but, you have to have wildtrak or other trims with all 3 of those constraints and you have to drop them all or cancel the order entirely to get the $2500. you can't drop one or the other and get $2500.
