  • How many Broncos are currently “In Production”
  • 53000 was the highest number we heard...use the search feature here.
  • [*]What is the holdup in the completion of my build? Is it a chip hold or is the delay on account of some other part?
    [*]
  • Likely chip hold, but what does that matter? It's a hold either way.
  • [*]How many other Broncos are similarly on hold? Hundreds? Thousands? Tens of thousands?
    [*]
    The last one.
  • [*]How many Broncos that are “In Production” for whatever reason and due to be completed before mine?
    [*]
ALOT...read the build week threads here. Currently January builds are seeing some movement, but there are many of them left to go. Mine is a Feb blend and I would hope it gets released before your March blend.
  • [*]What is Ford doing to resolve those issues?
    [*]
They have put all the incomplete builds in a parking lot.
  • [*]Did Ford order new chips or seek to source them elsewhere and, if so, when?
    [*]
Ford entered a partnership with Globalfoundries, however it will take several years for this to come to fruition. The chip shortage will be long over by then. It could protect Ford the next time though!
  • [*]Assuming Ford has sought to procure additional microchips, did Ford order enough to fulfill its current backlog of “In Production” orders?
    [*]
They were shorted from previous orders to begin with.
  • [*]When does Ford expect to start receiving those chips?
    [*]
    Yesterday
  • [*]How is Ford prioritizing the build of Broncos? FIFO? Is Ford prioritizing orders placed through certain dealerships over others?
    [*]

    [*]
More FIFO than you would think. They are currently working January blends
  • [*]Is Ford really going to reopen its order banks for the Model Year 2023 before clearing out the backorders?
    [*]
    YES
  • [*]Is Ford going to start producing new orders before fulfilling the prior orders?
    [*]
    YES
  • [*]Without even seeking a specific date – does Ford reasonably think I’ll receive my Bronco in Q3? Before year end? By mid-2023?
If you won't then somebody will...and their money is just as green as yours is.

53000 was the total quantity of all Ford/Lincoln unfinished vehicles on wheels at that point in time, not exclusively Broncos, so nice trolling job there. That was across all vehicle lines from Maverick all the way up to Super Duties, Navigators etc, of which the Bronco is only a smaller fraction of the total.

As someone who is sitting in front of a Bronco calendar, hammock still in the box, and Bronco flag on the wall I resemble that remark.
I was going to suggest to OP that he order a new Maverick to tide him over - oh! Those orders closed Jan 2022.

Did you get the poster? I went to Off-Roadeo last week to collect the rest of my 'freebies'. I gave the poster, flag and calendar to my grandson (who is a car nut) and the hammock to my son. I kept the off-roadeo stuff.

Could be, yes…. But sometimes people join with all this pent-up anger ready to unload. 🤣

Not trolling, just remembering an article posted here. Do not recall the article saying specifically that that number was ALL Ford products on chip hold at the time, but I might have missed that part. Either way I mentioned it so the OP could better consider the overall scope of the problem. And, yes I myself am another customer caught up in this problem. I do sympathize w/the OP, but I'm trying to explain the realities as they are right now. Sure it sucks...but what are you gonna do?
