Well, as soon as I said I didn’t have this issue, my bronco sounded like a rock polisher while warming it up after work today in the 0F weather (slight exaggeration but it was easily heard over the straight pipe cold start). Approx 7,000 miles. I don’t have much faith in the TSB. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I think having the issue on paper is questionable if it isn't affecting the functionality of the transmission. Everything I have heard in videos thus far has sounded like a typical manual transmission to me and putting it on paper then driving it before it can be addressed could give you warranty headaches. Just a thought and how I will proceed once this thing gets through PDI.
@Butzy... here is a better video for you. It is a very abnormal rotational scraping/rubbing sound.
This is a video I took about two weeks ago.

Yep, that's the sound, i could really hear it @ 3-6 seconds

This will be my 2nd replacement, so 3rd transmission counting the factory one. We have no proof that the TSB works and no proof that a new transmission won’t work now that the TSB is out. I guess I’m running a little experiment. The hope is that new transmissions coming out now will already have the TSB complete or have been built properly from the factory. With no info from Ford, it’s impossible to know. Regardless, replacement is much lower risk (and a quicker job) than opening up the transmission IMO. Plus parts are hard to get for the TSB. I’m not 100% happy about the decision, but I’m also not opposed to trying it out, and then if the sound comes back, TSB it is.
FWIW you can see my production and build dates in my signature, but my trans was built in March. sounds like a gamble

Picked-up my bronco today, dealer will call when they have parts. Again, they expected 3 months before I'd actually get on the schedule. They had to bring the bronco around to me, wish I had the camera recording it was 56F out and the sound was super loud.

Also note, the dealer had so many trucks, like probably 20+ F150s and similar number of super duty's. Prices are already dropping but I think thats gonna escalate quick.
I first heard mine before winter. It was 65 degrees out when I first heard it, and I park in an insulated garage so it was 70 in my garage. I really heard it after i put the hard top back on, i'm sure it was there all along, i just didnt notice it with all of the reflecting noises by not having hard top on

True true. Parts for TSB are a couple months out and transmissions as a whole are only a couple weeks. Taking a chance, but I figured I really have nothing to lose but a little bit of time. Just going through anything and everything to get it fixed

So is this happening to both 4 door and 2 door broncos? I'm wondering if there is an issue with the transmission on heavier vehicles or not. Also if sasquatch manual is having these issues.

So anyone with a 2 door manual non sasquatch having issues?
I have a 2-door base. I have this issue badly..

Hey all. Just purchased a 23 Big Bend 2Dr/MT On 6 Jan. The transmission noise started with me after about 200 miles and has been progressively getting worse. It’s identical to the video. Just got it back from dealer with a ”normal noise” explanation.
My Pre collision assist doesn’t work either….
Beyond furious….

Hi Matt. Can you send us a DM with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into this for you.

Why are you still doing this? All you do is tell them to contact their dealer.
To be fair, I contacted them and gave them the info and they did contact my dealership and opened a case with FoMoCo. FoMoCo contacted me, gave me some more information (like when the parts were expected, the service advisor told me they didn't have an ETA), and was helping discuss with the dealership getting a loaner car set up for me.

This sounds more like your dealership was just brushing you off until someone from Ford stepped in. Why doesn’t @Ford Motor Company just give all dealers this information and enforce loaner requirements through the TSB they’ve already issued?

FWIW I haven’t gotten any whiff of a run-around from my dealer yet. I’ll let them fuck up before calling in reinforcements.

Id be taking my extra keys and getting it back lol.

I dropped mine off tonight, I expect them to have it 2 days max to diagnose then I want it back while they wait for parts to come in.
Spoke to service advisor today and they have all the parts except one item. He said he has an ETA of Feb 20th on that part, so I can pick up my Bronco and he will call when it arrives.

Same thing - just picked it up from the dealership after an inspection. Hardly normal noise in my opinion. Was told the TSB didn’t apply because it’s a 23 model year.

See, this is something @Ford Motor Company should be helping you escalate -- not the rest of us just waiting on TSB parts...

The TSB does explicitly only say 2021/2022 Broncos, but there are multiple 2023 model years that are experiencing identical issues. When they authored the TSB on December 13th, 2022 they probably just neglected to add the 2023 year.

Agreed and also, obnoxious on the dealers behalf. Probably 1 phone call to their regional rep to get the TSB applied to that 2023 bronco.
