What you qualify for is easily obtained. Ford has a page on their website explaining in detail. There was some extremely bad info going on this thread yesterday but didn't feel like jumping into it, most of the time it gets straighten out...eventually.It's a horrible, antiquated system. That "private offer" should be visible in your Ford Account. Too much of the process relies on the dealer and manual data entry.
The dealer CANNOT change or take part of YOUR private offer, it is your money, your store credit with Ford. What the dealer can do is adjust their price upward which in effect does the same thing, this is the reason to have an agreement in place for the price. Anyone that "orders" a vehicle, waits till it comes in, then walks into the dealer asking "ok, what do I pay" is asking to be taken advantage of.
My advice is know what you are "owed" by Ford and make sure your dealer/salesperson abides. Be nice and professional during the whole process. Most of the time the salesperson does not know or forgets, they sale more than just this one product.
