It would be nice if that happened for early 2-door order holders, but I don't think they will. They still have the hardtop constraint, regardless of possible $2500 offer, and no changes were announced so far to aid with that.

It sounds to me like the $2500 offer for 2-door holders is a bit disingenuous, given hardtop makes actually getting the vehicle unlikely.

Ford will still be producing 2 door Bronco for 23MY. 2 doors have been constrained, this is nothing new. 2Dr are about 30% of the total hard tops currently unscheduled. As someone mentioned above, only ~60% of 2dr orders are able to be produced. That is an estimate. If you want a better chance of your 2 dr to be produced, removing the other 2 options, will better your chances.

The video guy says "if you have a Bronco on order, and any of those three options (Sas/Lux/Hardtop) are left on that order, you ain't getting a 2023 Bronco".
Which is clearly wrong, since Ford has another 8 months of scheduling for 2023. Ford is not completely out of those parts. The situation is essentially the same as it has been since they started building in 2021. Sas/Lux/MIC tops are well short of the order mix.

But why can’t Ford get these commodities straightened out? Broncos have been in production for 18 months. Either their agreements with suppliers are so cheap those suppliers are putting Ford at the back of the line or Ford wanted to save a few bucks and went with the lowest bidder who can’t mass produce the parts or scale up production.

I’m not hearing the pandemic and supply chain nonsense when Ford is still putting out 40k F150s a month. Many of those F150s are the new hybrids and are more equipped than the highest trim Broncos.

So it sounds like they won't open the order banks for new orders this year. Although, there's no reason not to open up the order banks since they are dropping PP for MY 2024. I'm surprised we haven't gotten any more clarity since the meeting this morning.
No clarity is because there is none. 78,000 unfilled reservations PLUS dealer inventory = a Lot of tough luck suckers. Even if oversold dealer get extra allocations anyone more than 1/2 way back in the line is S-O-L.

Mitch does use some extreme wording sometimes lol. You are correct, they will still produce MIC,LUX and SAS pkg broncos as you mentioned they are not out of those parts. The amount they have compared to the need is lower. Ford is unable to commit to building 100% of the MIC/LUX/SAS orders that are currently unscheduled. Ford wants to build as many as they can, they want to give the customers every option to purchase a bronco this year. They are combining current PP and this $2500 offer if you choose to remove options.

All I can say is doing nothing, there is a risk you will not get your bronco and you will lose all PP and this offer. But you could end up still getting scheduled! It is a gamble! TALK to your dealership, they can give you advice on what to do! It will depend on what other orders are ahead of you and if they are for going these constrained options or not.

I'm just hoping a soft top

So you're saying my 2-door base manual has a chance?!!
Yes, unless you are at Granger or Stevens. At least the manual no longer appears to be a constraint.

I'd be looking hard, nationwide, for a Base 2-door stick shift. The $2500 to buy a Bronco off the lot will pay for shipping. Base Stick shifts are really hard to find though.

So a salesman from my dealership just called me and asked for my ID. My original dealer got bought out and the GM, who was also my salesman, left. I had given my ID info to the GM back in October/November.... Anyways I asked him about it all, just to see what he would say, and his response was a little scary. "Nothing is really changing for you. Same odds that you had before and really just have to get lucky on being drawn. A service tech got his 2 door sasquatch like 6 weeks ago." Uhhhh.... That means nothing to me really since I see them everyday on the road.

78K may be A LOT! but Ford is committing all efforts to Retail allocations.

Yes and no. Most people that are left are at $2k below invoice which is still going to be a hell of 'a deal in 2024. You do loose the PP, which is entirely Ford's fault, but probably way better than any other deal you can get in 2024.

Based on this update, i wouldn't change my build at all, unless i had lux, i don't use that

This just doesn't sound like a bad deal, or even bad news, or even different news.
Sounds like an opportunity for those that do it

If the only constraint (of these three) that someone has on his order is Lux, then dropping that for $2500, plus the price difference between Lux and High seems a no-brainer to me.

But honestly I don't understand why people are so hung up on the Lux package. I detest adaptive cruise control, and I didn't even know heated steering wheels existed until I joined this forum.

Does removing the three constraints some how give you better priority? I think you can only move down to priority 10 by the dealer. I read in another thread that some people who made the change are now priority 2 and were previously priority 19.

I agree. High package still has the 12 inch screen and 360 camera. And costs $2200 less.
I wonder what part of the Lux package is causing the issue? I would automatically think the 12-in screen but obviously that's not it since the high package is okay.

My 2dr Basesquatch been at the #1 position since the first round of ordering, back in 21, at my dealer. I was their first order.

Last year I had COVP confirmed by Ford and still did not get built. 🙄 Seems like everytime my dealers allocation comes up, Ford cannot build a 2dr.

I am now a PC of 2. I have absolutely no idea what to do. I can leave it alone and hope and pray. Drop the squatch and maybe get built. The squatch was the whole reason for me getting a Bronc.

Maybe just wait to see of I get lucky on Thurs.

I so don't know what the fuck to do.......
