Conglomerates do not care. They lose one customer and gain another. Customer service is gone. Never coming back. Only small shops offer this now. Nobody will be teaching ford a lesson canceling. Cold hard truth. Or by selling off their stock as one poster said. Sell it off, someone else will buy it. In the end just do what makes you happy because ford motor company does not care at all about you. This can be copied and pasted for all other car manufacturers as well.
People said the same thing about Sears. Didn’t work out too well for them.

If @Ford Motor Company had chosen to honor reservations over allocations from the beginning they would not be in this mess.
Agree.

If Ford takes away my Price Protection without honoring my 2+ year reservation I will never again buy a Ford product. Plus I will bad mouth Ford to anyone who will listen.

Yeah, that is the part that grinds me the most, for them to cancel the price protection because they can't build the units is just not right any way you look at it. I can understand the rest of it, don't like it, but can understand, just not the PP going away next year.

The way I read the tea leaves is that Ford is actively saying that they intend to F'over reservation holders and wipe their orders from the order banks at the end of February.

This is no different than them clearing out the 99 orders, but unfortunately that scheme didn't purge enough orders, so Ford is doubling down to get rid of reservation holders.

Ford intends to purge reservation holders as quickly as possible. My money is on believing that this is the case.

While it sucks what Ford is doing to customers with orders, especially from early on, I can see why they want to extricate themselves from this. They just can't ever catch up. It's an ongoing nightmare, and they probably wish they had never offered any reservations in the first place.

It was a great way to get the hype going and to see how much interest there was in the vehicle, but it turned into a monster.

So glad to be off this 💩 show from Ford.

We had a March 2022 order that we snuck in right before the order banks closed (with a confirmed dealer allocation) and we used that for a 4-Door Eruption Green 22.5 Wildtrak with MIC/HOSS 3.0/Lux/Leather that was picked for an October build date. It was finally built in November and is still awaiting delivery with an EDD of the first week in February.

Long story short, we aren’t taking delivery on it, as we gave it back to the dealer in exchange for a 23 F150 Raptor and we never looked back.

We will NEVER pre-order another Ford vehicle again.
That’s a quick turnaround on a loaded WT…didn’t you know going in it would probably be 12 months or more?

This will be a couple interesting days. I see a lot of dealers licking their chops hoping people walk without canceling. Just allows them to hose someone else that doesn’t know any better yet.
So about 8k in options for a $2500 voucher. Seems about right for the way this circus has been ran. So do we still get the option to re-order for my24 or do we get dropped and have to wait and start all over when the banks opent. I dont care about pp at this point i just want built the way I ordered.
You will pay 8k less AND get the 2500 but I know what you mean, you want what you want. I understood it will be a brand new order with no reservations or PP in play once MY24 is here.

I bet this is all to stop customers from ordering, but allows dealers to order trucks for dealer stock. Guarantee that loaded Wildtrak’s will be on the lots in 2023.

This is happening to allow dealers to make money.
No one can order anything.

Well, Ford states they consider hardtop a "constraint", and since a 2-door only has a hardtop, yes effectively they are saying "good luck" getting a 2-door this year, and promoting a switch (as they already were doing) to a less loaded 4-door soft top. That's nothing new, it just now comes with a larger carrot and stick.

Below is the text of my email, where I requesting clarification about the 2-door situation, and the dealer response:

MY QUESTION TO DEALER: Given that 2-door Broncos are only available with the "constrained" hardtop, does this basically mean all 2-door customers must change to a 4-door, to qualify for this Ford offering?

DEALER RESPONSE: Correct. We will need to switch to a 4 door model to have a good chance for a 2023 model.
I hope everyone realizes that Ford has said in the past that if you change from a 2 to a 4 door or vice versa you will lose Price Protection. So that $2500 carrot to you becomes a savings for Ford. I would verify that you will still get your PP as well as the 2500 before you pull the trigger.... IN WRITING FROM THE DEALER AND FORD. There is more than $2500 in PP for early reservations than there is in the carrot.

If the $2500 for downgrading replaces pp then it will be easy decision for a lot of us to drop out.

I think people are looking at this backwards. The incentive will narrow down the list of those waiting. I wish i had this deal. Id personally take from stock without 10k adm and with 2021 pricing & the $2500. Great deal there.
Agree and then reorder what you want in ‘24

I've gone through all the posts and didn't see this PP issue come up: Is it still tied to trim like it used to be? Or can I, say, switch from OBX to BL and still qualify for the PP on my order (and the $2,500, too)?
They have always said if you switch trim or doors you lose PP. Get the TRUTH before you change your order.... in writing.... the PP is worth more than the $2500. If they still give the PP and the $2500 it may be worth the change
