I can't see a dealer giving 2021 pricing on a 2023 wildtrak for example. It would also be WAY too hard to back calculate the cost of the different features and options.

They don't have to calculate anything. They sell the vehicle at the listed price and apply the rebates. I don't know how the $2500 transition rebate will work. But for those who have PP, the dealer just searches for the buyer's name in SMARTVincent. If your credentials match that on the cert, then it is applied to the sale. The dealership will get that money from Ford. The dealership won't lose a dime.

also, what will an after market hard top look like, can you add one, how much will it cost. I’m seeing $5500 hard tops for the 4 doors now. That’s a boatload of money for a hard top. My Jeep hard top was only $2800. $2500 is what ford is offering. It’s a lot to think about.

2-dr MIC tops are available. Many didn't bother trying to sell them as there was no market for them being that the 2-dr came standard with them. But there are buyers who switched to the TrekTop and now have the MIC taking up space in the rafters. @Tricky Dick @GToddC5

if you were taking about any other Toyota that doesn’t compete with the Bronco, you may be right, cause I’ve never cared. Good luck running doors off of the Highlander, I had one and from experience, they don’t come off.

Toyota has barely if ever allowed a custom order. You get what’s on the ground built, redirected to that dealer. I think it even has to be in the country for 4Runner. The dinosaur current Generation 4-Runner (ha, same
Ole’ 4.0NA in 2023?) has insane markup on any TRDPro and TRD Sport or whatever they chaged the names too. I’ve been skipping the current Generation 4-Runner since before the wrangler JL launch. The “pre orders” on allocation for the next generation 4 Runner started last year at some dealers. They will have the same problem that ford has and without nearly the flexibility in selection.

PP is only attached to the buyer's name. It is not contingent on a specific order or dealer. All dealers have access to the same system.

I think people are looking at this backwards. The incentive will narrow down the list of those waiting. I wish i had this deal. Id personally take from stock without 10k adm and with 2021 pricing & the $2500. Great deal there.

Ford doesn't control the dealer sales price. Dealer stock just means find one on a dealer site...so that $2500 offsets any ADM and you sure as hell aren't getting MY21 prices. I think the option 2 is really "Go buy from a dealer that has one.. here's $2500 for getting out of line".

ford is offering a soft top for The 2 door. I guarantee it will be announced this week. So 2 door orders will get the soft top with a $2500 credit towards the price of the vehicle, which they should.

There's no way it works like that for the simple reason that I'd be totally fine with that solution if it gets me my non-SAS 2 door BL High-pkg built.

the A verification is in Smart Vincent (SV), but B and C PP certificate is not. Based on the Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec builds, dealers were jerking people around with the PP. they really aren’t there and it requires a post sale name match. Dealer gets a credit after the fact. I forget my $100 deposit in the deal (remembered 3 days after) but got my A,B, and C, and even that chaps me.

Well, Ford states they consider hardtop a "constraint", and since a 2-door only has a hardtop, yes effectively they are saying "good luck" getting a 2-door this year, and promoting a switch (as they already were doing) to a less loaded 4-door soft top. That's nothing new, it just now comes with a larger carrot and stick.

Below is the text of my email, where I requesting clarification about the 2-door situation, and the dealer response:

MY QUESTION TO DEALER: Given that 2-door Broncos are only available with the "constrained" hardtop, does this basically mean all 2-door customers must change to a 4-door, to qualify for this Ford offering?

DEALER RESPONSE: Correct. We will need to switch to a 4 door model to have a good chance for a 2023 model.

Yeah I think your dealer is saying what ford won’t. Ford won’t out right tell you that two doors are done scheduling for MY23 but every indicator is there lol. I would just expect disappointment. That’s all this ride has been since order banks opened. Hell that’s all it’s been since that September evening build and price didn’t launch lol.

Unfortunately, there has been problems with the MY'23 PP. There shouldn't be. Some have found the certificates had expired. Some needed extending. And some never existed despite existing for MY'22. For MY'23, there should only be a single certificate amount. For those who were using the MY'22 PP and MY'22.5 Retail Price Protection (You indicated Sept/Oct/Nov builds), that was indeed 2 separate programs that is often referred to as the same. The PP amount is taken in the form of a rebate. But the Retail PP is issued after the sale ( up to 60 days later) and will be credited to the dealer. Some dealers handled it up front waiting for Ford to balance their books later. And other dealers waited until the credit was issued to then remunerate the amount to the customer.

With that said, there always seem to be problems. I would advise that people contact Ford Customer Service to check on the available rebates to them and to make sure they are valid before showing up at any dealer.

My dealer (granted this will be the 5th or 6th car I have bought from this dealer and salesman) told me if signed a sales agreement ...which I did .... that it would be sticker price. He did not supply me with a VIN but he did have a build date of 2/27 and a projected delivery date in March..

This is for a dealer stock build but I was allowed to put a down payment and have a sales agreement processed. This means that I should receive the exact vehicle on the dealer build sheet or .... NO SALE and fork over my money.

If the dealer has a build date and a projected delivery date I would hope that means their is a VIN somewhere. I messaged him to see if he had one so I guess I will see.

If there is gonna be a conference call about all this and even the dealers are getting screwed on Wildtrack builds then I will get a Jeep.

Thanks, I was a Sept 2020 reservation, and a late MY 2022 build and delivery. One would think that the bugs would be worked out by late October of 2022. Through MY22 was two programs with three tiers. The flowchart provided on B6G was absolute gold. It still required a case number from Bronco Marketing specialist to get the deal done with all promises by Ford.

@Ford Motor Company, I’m in my mid 40’s and have a long memory about brand interaction. Dealers matter, but do better for your end customers.

It isn't related to Hoss 3.0 on the WT. Sasquatch is a constraint because of Goodyear being unable to produce enough tires.

Crazy really, so many other options. Just provide it with KO2 and keep customers.

You're wrong there. The rebate must be applied to the ordered unit. You cannot take a price protection rebate to a different VIN. Additionally, "Retail Price Protection" is also tied to the order.

"Eligible customers must place a new 23MY retail order and take delivery of their ordered vehicle to be eligible for model year transition private offer. Vehicle sale end user name must match the customer name on the retail order or will be subject to chargeback."
