Seems as though he took that video he posted about the constraints down from YouTube cause I could have sworn I watch it just yesterday or the day before, but it no longer posted to their page. Wonder the stuff behind this post is the reason they took it down.
Yeah I saw it in a B6G post in the past couple of days. At the time I was thinking why is he ignoring the demand (order) percentages? I didn't write down the percentages he shared but MIC demand vs. constraint was the biggest differential by far. Squatch and Lux demand and constraint percentages weren't too far apart (maybe 5% delta if I recall correctly).

MIC hard top constraints has been fuzziest to understand because Ford doesn't differentiate between 2 door and 4 door. I've always wondered if the 2 door constraint percentage is solely due to the 2 door MIC top or if their body stamping also has limitations?

What Mitchell showed on 2 door constraint percentage vs. demand was about a 35% delta. E.G. the constraint percentage was something like 17% but demand was 23%. That would mean 35% of the folks with a 2 door order won't get it fulfilled this year.

Reality check for you - find a better dealer! Bought my WT off the lot Nov 30th at $1k over MSRP. Had to do a lot of searching for a few days and put in some leg work but definitely not interested in living out the soap opera that is a full term Ford order at the moment
.....
My best advice would be to spend several days doing nothing but devoting your life to scouring AutoTrader.. thats how we found ours. You can set up saved searches w/ alerts to speed up your workflow but I’m sure you’ve explored this. If you’re dead set on finding one at your closest dealer of choice then your options get mighty slim pretty quick
We all can find examples of dealer's ADM on Broncos. But there are plenty that are also being sold at MSRP.
......
True, my local dealer sucks! I transferred away from them 2 years ago.
The Autotrader search is nice.... it includes a filter for 2 doors. I have it bookmarked. Thanks.
I have been looking..... I found my match at Laura Ford in Mo a few weeks ago but let it go since I thought I'd be scheduled soon. Today's news changes everything.
I'm picky about my choice.... I have a 2 dr Base Squatch in Velocity Blue on order. It's been tough to find something close. I'll be looking tho.

The 2 door demand was left blank in his video. Even so, the ones that they can build should be reserved for the thousands of unfulfilled orders placed before 3/19/21. Then again, those orders should qualify for the most PP ( also screwed up) so that most likely would never take place.

Ford will provide a $2500 voucher if you change your order to BL, BD, or OBX, drop lux, Sasquatch, and MIC. So what if the order holder has a two door ordered? Can’t drop the MIC on that. Why after all this time Ford couldn’t have worked out a soft top option for the two door in order to get customers their orders is beyond me.
Why couldn't they have built reservations first like they said they would. This is about money. They do care about reservations or the reservation holders.

By not prioritizing reservations when they had the chance @Ford Motor Company put themselves in a spot where price protection is costing them millions.

Ford doesn’t care about all your bitching and moaning. They would only care if enough people had the testicular fortitude to go buy a competitors vehicle. They know they have a cult following that will continue to lick their boots no matter how much they crap on you.

2 and 4 door MIC tops are made with different molds. The constraint has always been a mold throughput issue. So they are actually independent constraints.
That's a good point. The question though is whether they can swap out the molds on the same production line. Also, it doesn't address the question of how much of the constraint is for 2-door vs. 4-door.

Ford been doing this for a while. The fordauthority.com web site says they dropped the garage door opener on the Expedition XL, they added a drop option for the secureicode keypad on the Explorer. Little by little options getting deleted across all Ford vehicles. Moral of the story, if you want your vehicle in covid times order it with as little as possible. Whats available today could be gone tomorrow.

If all thats holding up the SAS package is the stupid no-label Wrangler tires. Why dont they just switch suppliers and get something better????? From the video it says several other automakers using the same tires as Ford, thats why there in short supply. Goodyear never been one of my favorite tire brands anyway.

By that thought, then I should have no issues getting my Wildtrak. Since it uses the HOSS 3.0 suspension and not the normal SAS (2.0) suspension 🤣

Hi all,

Just got my 23 badlands yesterday after waiting since 12/2020. Excited! Don't know how true but GM said the order portal won't be opened this year or next! Coulda been bs but he said very few are aware of the decision

@Ford Motor Company 👆👆👆👆👆👆👆👆👆 You should be paying attention and taking notes!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah definitely some love/hate going on here in B6g

Lots of people love the design/brand but disappointed with production management, brand mgmt - hoping Ford will better focus w reliability, durability, Reservations scheduling . . .

Call it constructive criticism

And Ford did make some big changes. Last year new MAP Plant Mgr, new Brand Mgr, new Quality Czar Halliburton. Hopefully the new Broncos are more reliable & durable

To me it's really strange how they keep splintering & distracting production w more off-shoots like Everglades, Heritage, Raptor - when they still have tens-of-thousands unscheduled reservations/orders. The initial six models from 2020 will sell all they can make. Why distract their production & resources w new models ? It can only slow the production for all the models
I agree. Every time I come here, I’m more grateful I was able to get my 2023 Badlands almost exactly like I pre-order in 2020, just missing the color and not having dual hardtops was ok as they made a retractable front row top. I would like to know why Ford dangled the Raptor in my face and chose to make these other models, thankfully they put all of them out of my reach.
