my dealer said Ford is doing this to try to get all remaining orders scheduled by April so they can open up order banks.

How could any company have multiple vendor failures, simultaneously, while other companies (Tesla) are cuttingIf this is true, itās the most catastrophic supply chain and production meltdown in the history of new vehicle rollouts. How could any company have multiple vendor failures, simultaneously, while other companies (Tesla) are cutting production to keep demand high?

Maybe the wacky space African is smarter that the crusty old farts at Ford? How could any company have multiple vendor failures, simultaneously, while other companies (Tesla) are cuttingproductionprices to keep demand high?
There, fixed it for you!
I always thought it was strange that Ford would allow a $37K Bronco to have all the performance bits of an $80K Bronco. This is a way to limit performance to the high dollar models without actually saying so. Maybe when commodities are totally unrestricted they'd open it up again, then again they could keep it restricted after everyone forgets about it.It makes sense that they wonāt build anything with the Sasquatch package so they could use all of those bits for the Wildtrak, Heritage and Everglades. The most expensive and most limited models.
If the "Heritage Edition" includes the BB based one, that's actually a budget Bronco, pricing out lower than a like equipped BB.I always thought it was strange that Ford would allow a $37K Bronco to have all the performance bits of an $80K Bronco. Explain again then. Because this is what I understood from the post earlier.Thatās not how percentages work. If those percentages are correct it means that Ford doesnāt have capacity to build 47% of two door orders.
Correct. Just like my MY21 and MY22 orders. They mean absolutely nothing at this point.Evidently an excepted order by FORD from Jan 2021 doesn't mean getting an order either.
Getting a 23 TRX with Granger. 77.5k out the door. If you can squeeze 10k more I'd definitely recommend Granger. Please skip chapmanLooking under 65. Need something a little bigger than a taco since my daughter has a rear facing car seat. I had the new frontier and it was pretty cramped. Wish I could afford a trx hahha
If customers are going to make those sacrifices then they might as well cancel their order and buy from dealers lots now. There are low specs like those for very little if any ADM at all they can purchase now and not wait.My take on all this is that whether you agree or not, Chapman has interpreted Fordās presentation to mean that Ford will prioritize and build orders that donāt specify SAS, Lux, and hard tops and most orders that have them will be pushed further out and, very likely, not be built in ā23. Based on Ashlieās other response, they are standing by that interpretation. Because order holders at Chapman are likely cost conscious, losing price protection is a concern so their advice is to drop those constraints within the next week or, if you choose to stay the course, roll the dice and put your money on Ford and Fordās supply chain to come through for you. Best of luck to you.
Apparently Ford is also considering options for 2 door tops, but like this thread has proven, itās best to wait until official word from Ford next week before assuming anything.
From what Rangarkon and others have posted about price protection in other threads it seems that a private offer from Ford may reduce the possibility for dealer hijinx? If true, and Fordās offer is a fair one, it may be worth it to me to get off the merry go round and take what I can get. Of course, everyone has to do whatās best for their situation. Peace be with you.
