The only way your amount would change is if you don't buy the 2022 bronco you ordered. Everyone is so worked up on whether or not Ford will give the promised price protection.
The big difference is that your suppliers don't cancel your order and make you re-issue it every year. I'm in Telco and our lead times are often in the 30+ week range on some equipment, but we only order once and wait (and harass vendors to make sure they don't forget about our orders).

Ford is gonna argue that price protection doesn't apply to reorders when they are done in late 2023 for those of us who get bumped into 2024 and beyond because the order with price protection expired without being fulfilled. Anytime Ford had mentioned price protection, they only mentioned it being offered through 2023.

I've already decided if I don't get my order this year and I can't find a used one with the same specs for a reasonable price, I'm just gonna buy a used Wrangler because honestly I figured by now I would have made my last payment not still be waiting in limbo to even have my Bronco produced.

Rumor is now they aren't opening the order banks until 2024 so they can finally get thru the entire back log this year. If true, and if SAC gets 30 a month like Granger and Chapman, everyone still waiting should get scheduled this year. Anyways, it's been the ones with undelivered 2022s that are questioning whether they still get their price protection amounts

**Warning, delivery date update!**

Amusing/infuriating update - I chatted with Ford yesterday and got a quick 'go away' response of restating the ETA I got from the back door tracker, 12/31-1/6. Then weirdly later yesterday I got an email from Ford telling me that my shipment date had changed from 12/6-12/12 to 12/31-1/6. THEN, upon checking the back door link last night/today, it's now 1/28-2/3. For my 2022. That was scheduled to build 10/31. That was allegedly built 12/3. I know I'm certainly not the only one in this cluster but damn if it doesn't get harder each day to stay pretty chill about it.

It's truly astonishing how inefficient Ford is in every aspect of production, communication and delivery.

In comparison, my Jeep was built on 9/1/22 and at the dealer on 9/7/22.

Well, I sometimes make very large purchases at work for items that have 25-50 week lead times. Prices change between the time the order is placed and when it's delivered. We don't pay them until we receive in the item but we only pay the quoted agreed price.

Rookies. We are now seeing 80-90weeks for large equipment on some of our projects. And yes, we too pay the price the day the equipment was quoted, not delivered.

Back on topic. Hey, how about that [insert thread topic here], crazy, amirite?!?

Mine also changed to the same dates as yours. This is the 9th or 10th change in 4 weeks, so I'm generally assuming the vehicle is likely to just "show up" at some point and these estimates are meaningless.

Adding to my grumbles is that you all are waiting on your '23s to be delivered, presumably the same time as my '22.

That is infuriating.

Ford is just amazingly bad at this, and those waiting on Mavericks, Lightnings and eMustangs are experiencing the same inefficiencies.

COVID era issues are no longer an excuse - my Wrangler order was placed 7/11/22, and I took delivery 9/9/22.

There is visability of what SAC is getting: vin, window sticker etc on their website. 15 Broncos nine 22’s - 6 regular (one is mine) and 3 raptors

Same here. Funny I'm waiting for a 2022 to get shipped some day in 2023. For spending 60k, They don't seem to care or communicate at all. So bazaar. I feel stupid for hanging in there for so long.

Yup true, I did check that out earlier. My '23 related comment was just seeing the guys with the same ETA dates posting pics that say '2023 Bronco' and me getting salty all over again. I also googled how many cars can fit on a carrier just for fun, but I'd say anywhere between 6-9 Broncos. Point being I don't think they're waiting for a full load.

Thanks for sharing this. I see mine on there, so that brings a glimmer of hope.

Likewise! My Wrangler was ordered 4/5/22 and picked up from the dealer 5/31/22. It’s very frustrating!

@cnesbit and @patientB Check the backdoor again. Within hours my EDD is back to 1/3/23-1/9/23. I work in software, and I can say with certainty that whatever they are using to estimate these dates is a total fail and should probably be removed from public view.

Same EDD for me. My Badlands is also one of the MY22 Bronco's on the SAC website.
