I guess then Ford has a major design flaw on their hands with the seat too, hell what about the tilt/telescopic steering wheel? The mirror is adjustable, that means YOU adjust it to where YOU want it to be. If it isn't exactly in the right place, move it again. It's not that hard. I swear, some of the questions posted here seem like they come from people who have never even seen a car before.
My favorite question of the week was someone asked if they need a winch if they have a badlands?

Lots of folks are so quick to bitch today without even checking out the situation 😉
Lmao if this is an issue IDK how they will get the tops or doors off. And checking fluids under the hood is probably a no go too

Would this be a bad time to mention to the “NBA players” here who can’t put down the sun visor that the seat height is adjustable, too? 🫢

Yes it does.

Now pull up the passenger side wiper blade. Engineering is hard.
For the mirror: just move it to the right half an inch, Duh! As already mentioned, apparently it's an intelligence test, did you pass?

As for the wiper, I don't see a solution to that. It hits the antenna. I blame Ford for that one.

I'm the only one who drives the vehicle. I set the mirror(s) and don't need to move them again. A visor hitting a mirror ? I've been driving cars over 45 years. That's the first time I've ever had to routinely move the mirror because the visor didn't clear it .

Like I stated in my OP it's a minor detail, but one that's been pretty worked out for almost a hundred years now.

Jeez it's like Ford has never designed a windshield area before.... :sneaky:

I've routinely had to adjust things like mirrors every time I get in a new to me vehicle. Maybe you've been lucky. Adjust it once though and as long as no one changes it, you don't have to adjust it again.

Why not simply do the work of designing it so I can push the visor down and not have to adjust the mirror every time I move the freakin' visor? Engineers designed the SR-71 on paper using slide rules and French curves. These guys have the latest CAD/CAM software at their disposal and can't move the mirror over a half-inch so it doesn't interfere with the visor?

As far as the wiper, you CAN push it up slightly on the windshield before lifting it and it'll clear, but I have the same sentiment.

Edit: I didn't realize that you can SLIDE the mirror sideways. I thought it was on a simple ball joint. So that fixes that. Now, about that wiper blade...

Have the mirror shaft pushed toward passenger and as high as it can go. Then I turn the mirror itself to see.
