Since I had to take the driver's side rear tow hook off to put the Mabett rear mud flaps on, I body color matched the tow hook with EG using Touch Up Direct spray paint before replacing. Also finally got around to putting my personal code into the keyless entry pad on the door as well as the Homelink programming for the garage door. Next up is replacing the fog lights with yellow Diode Dynamics Elite into the front and color matching the front tow hooks with EG while the bumper is off.

Drove from Colorado Springs to Woodland Park, Rampart Range Road to Winding Stairs Road to Scorpio Dome, then Mount Herman Road to Monument and I-25 back to Colorado Springs.

I went camping and tested towing for about 500 miles with two old motorcycles on a small trailer.

I used sport mode and I was amazed that I did not see any change in gas milage which has been 17.9 mpg ever since I swapped out the stock OEM rock sliders for Rock Slide Engineering, installed the Goose Gear full platform, and added the Yakima rack. Oh also with a full 5 Gallon fuel can on the back.

The small short wheelbase trailer did like to sway back and forth during high cross winds. I felt the sway very very little and not enough to worry about it. I just slowed down a little bit more. I did have to disconnect the trailer to open the tailgate enough to open the back window. I then used a pillow between the tailgate and the motorcycle fender to control scratches.

I used a 10" drop hitch with about a 8" drop and the trailer was level and it all worked well.

You might extend the trailer tongue. It should calm sway, make it easier to back and allow you to open the gate.

Another round trip MN-AZ. Return trip was through Monument Valley, Mexican Hat, and Devils Tower. Bronco (2.3L 7MT) struggled up the mountains along I70 in Colorado, in 6th gear cruise. Reset cruise at 60 in 5th gear and it did just fine.

Not today, over the weekend... Took Buckshot to Publix and I usually park it at the very end of the lot , so as to avoid carts. (Someone that works there has the same idea, as they have a bright-orange Corvette that I see parked in the same area often...) As I'm coming back with my groceries, I notice a very Viking-looking dude in a pickup eyeballing me. I mean he was straight out of central-casting from Vikings, looked like King Harald Finehair... I see him with his windows down staring at the Bronco, then me, and then he's clearly looking to see if MY insolent-ass is going to get in it... so I decide to piss him off a little, ride the shopping cart back to the cart collection area ... he's still staring. I get into the Bronco, start it up, music starts blasting, he immediately pulls his truck in front of me. I'm thinking, "Does this freaking guy want to fight now??!"
...
"BRO... I just want to say ... That's the best-looking truck I've ever seen!!! Best ever..."


And then he just speeds away.

Installed these LED CoLight 7" pods. Very well constructed and reasonably priced lights. I mounted them with a bar from Texas Complete Bronco. Very pleased with both products:

Swapped out the stock BB wheels for a set of OBX wheels and tires.

Installed grill letter covers on my Wildtrak. I'm not 100% on the red R, so that might get swapped to black, but it's definitely 99.9% better than the white letters.
