Turbo inlet duct appears collapsed

So I was looking around under the hood and noticed this. Inlet duct on passenger side is twisted and partially collapsed. Gonna get it back to dealer next week. Anyone else noticed this?

Then why is the driver tube normal? Save gas by obstructing one tube?

You can’t really compare the two sides, they aren’t the same length nor have the same space. Mine if like that and apparently so are everyone else’s. Yeah it looks odd but so does the whole engine compartment.

It is designed to rotate the air so it enters the turbo in a more laminar flow. This reduces friction and improves efficiencies of the turbo.

Interestingly, the K&N intake kit I installed had a smooth tube for that section. So I guess the efficiencies aren't all that great anyhow?
