I say lazy because I had to give them the TSB number before they would even give it a glance. They aren't hard to find, and like you said this isn't remotely hard one to fix. They used the two Broncos in their showroom to prove my issues were normal. No, their Broncos had the same issues mine did! Super lazy.
Yup. I will say that a good friend of mine (he was a Ford Dealer service mgr for more than a few years, now runs his own shop) is still close with a couple of owners / GMs of Ford dealers and they regularly bitch about the lack of documentation / training coming from Ford on the Bronco and how it seems more and more vehicles are getting to the dealer needing a bunch of things adjusted / fixed before even putting them on the lot or delivering to the customer.

FYI - to fix the squeaks etc from your hardtop.
  1. Get some thinner foam, like yoga mat, gym floor tiles etc.
  2. Cut off a chunk and cut it into 1.5-2 inch squares. Preferred thickness is about 1/4 -1/3 inches or so. Slice in half with a razor blade to get required thickness.
  3. Pop a little hole in the middle.
  4. Unlatch and raise your roof panels.
  5. Put little foam square onto the peg.
  6. Latch it.
  7. Good to go.

Thank you for posting this. I'm taking my Bronco into the dealer next week and I just noticed the passenger door glass is catching on the weatherstrip. The window reset procedure did not help me, so perhaps their TSB will resolve it.

Heat shrink works as well. What's interesting is the Ford TSB fix has the tech use grease on each locator pin (one at at time) until the noise goes away. Then they REPLACE the affected latch or locator pin assembly.

Yeah, not sure how grease is helpful...I mean Ford must have tested it so it helps, right? :p Oh, heat shrink....I like that idea as well. I had to visualise that for a sec if I'm being honest, lol.

Don't put grease on your pins if you ever take the top off. What an unnecessary mess. This is thankfully the easiest nuisance fix on the Bronco. Wrap those pins in electric tape, tubing, anything really. I used plastic wrapper from the garbage as a condom at first.

No the grease is used on EACH assembly - ONE at a time. It will stop the noise (or not) and let them know which assembly is actually making the noise.

The grease isn't to fix it - it's to narrow down which assembly needs replaced / fixed.

I know. But i have seen people on this site using grease as the fix. And if your going to DIY it wrapping it is permanent. There is no way I would let them replace the assembly, it will just happen again. Wrap all the pins and be done with it.

I agree. But checking part # revisions, there has already been a couple of revisions on the locator pin assemblies / latches.

Thanks so much for posting these TSB’s! I fixed my hard top squeak and rear fender alignment using the Ford procedure. Need to do the 1/2 down window rattle fix but I am worried about breaking the glass accidentally. 3 week wait to get the Bronco into the dealer then...an unspecified wait to get it worked on. Welcome to 2022 I guess...

For example - see

SSM 50711

SSM 50711 - 2021-2022 Bronco - Window Rattle When Driving Over Bumps

Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a window rattle when driving over bumps with the windows placed in the partially down position. This may be due to incorrect window glass adjustment from the factory. To correct this condition, perform the Front/Rear Door Window Glass Adjustment procedure located in the Workshop Manual, Section 501-11 > Front doors > Steps 18-26, Rear Doors > Steps 21-25. It is not necessary to remove the door panel to perform this adjustment. During adjustment, set the window regulator nuts to their most outboard position (this will move the top of the window inboard), then reevaluate the noise. Be sure to place the window in the fully down position during adjustment.

2021 - 2022 TRUCK: G1 U725N BRONCO

I've attached the factory procedure to perform the adjustment
In surprised this one doesn't have it's own thread....
Nobody considering fixing it themselves?

I get that....but when I get a new vehicle I download / pdf / print the factory workshop manual (most have paid access for 72 hours, a month etc) so I can do my own work / repair if it's not something major I want documented at the dealer.
Is there a link for this, or do we search it out on the ford web site? I would love a copy, even if i have to pay for it now.

Go here:

https://www.motorcraftservice.com/

Create an account (it's not linked to your Ford account).

Login, click on SERVICE INFO

Click the dropdown to select 72 hour access (it's $21.xx) Monthly is like $300 and yearly is over $2K

Checkout, pay - done.

It gives you ALL ford technical info for any vehicle made from '94 and up. You can access by VN or year / make / model.

You can't print the entire manual at once, but you can go through and use 'print to pdf' to save all the pages / docs you want. I've done it for every Ford I've owned for quite a while.

Once you've paid, log in to the same site, click on MY SUBSCRIPTIONS. You'll see this:

Ford Bronco Bronco TSB and SSM Notices 1652293578248

Click on the blue link (All VEHICLE LINES...)

You'll see this:

Ford Bronco Bronco TSB and SSM Notices 1652293622262

Enter the VIN or select the year / model etc.

The manuals are under the WORKSHOP Tab. This is the same resource the dealer techs use.
