Heres what I more confused about regarding pricing: I most likely will not get my bronco in 2022 (walk in feb 2022 order). Once 23MY hits, I dont think I am price protected anyway…So my current OBX build might actually cost me more than I anticipated when I ordered it anyways.
Current OBX order: 49,xxx
Potential Big Bend order built today on ford website (22.5MY pricing??) : 44,xxx

I would stay with the OBX with standard mid package. Quite a few upgrades from a BB as standard, especially if you will be driving daily. I personally prefer the color keyed mirrors, handles and flares, comes with tube steps, and several other safety features like BLIS
BLIS comes on the Big Bend with Mid package! That would have been a deal breaker for me.

Agree, it’s just standard on OBX. Keep adding on and then pay the 22.5 price and you paid more for BB than stock OBX

"The main things I liked about the High was the 12 inch screen and the overhead view camera. Will I actually miss those things?"

I have an 8" screen in my Mustang and why I was not chompin' at the bit for the 12" screen. It is more than sufficient in my opinion.

With my current OBX build, id save about 5K going down to BB with 22.5 pricing- differences being: no leather seats, mid package instead of high.
I considered just taking leather seats off, and moving down to mid package on the OBX to keep my price protection, but looks like changing to the mid package deletes the price protection anyway

Thanks for that feedback! I am having a hard time justifying keeping the 12 inch screen for the extra 5k id save going down to the big bend even with the 22.5 pricing in effect

Sounds like you will just loose color matched mirrors, color matched flares, color matched handles, tube side steps, carpet, signature LED headlights. Not sure what else. When I did a BB with mid and upgrades I wanted, it was close to OBX price before the MY22.5 increase and it didn’t have the color match, carpet, tube steps or LED so I bumped up to OBX. I also wanted the roast/black interior which isn’t offered on BB. I paid 43,500 + tax yesterday for my OBX.

Whats funny is I actually prefer the black handles and mirror caps…. Another thing not mentioned is how much I realllly dont like the OBX wheels. I plan to change out the wheels anyways but I feel like I can live with the Big Bend ones a little longer LOL. Thanks for laying out the differences for me- that really helped put it into perspective

Yeah Gloss Black Wheels and Gloss Black grill Grill standard on OBX. I also wanted roast/black interior not offered on BB. I paid $43,500 +tax yesterday for my OBX. At least you know the differences now.

The 360 degree cameras from the high package come in super handy even in town as it lets you know exactly where the truck will end up when parking or when parking in the garage at home when it's a tight squeeze between the door and the vehicle on the right, and then anything stored in the garage. I end up using them all the time as I'm getting used to my OBX. The Big Bend also required the sasquatch package in order to get the factory installed tube steps which are standard on the OBX and are an absolute necessity for our family given the increased ride height of the Bronco over our other vehicles. Not that I required the 12" screen but it was a nice upgrade over the 8" that I've been used to in the last few vehicles of ours. It also allows for keeping android auto or apple carplay on an 8" or so section of the screen and keeps sync 4 accessible all the time, unlike Sync 3 and 4 on the 8" screen that takes over the display completely until you exit out of it.
I also like the way it looks better with the body colored accents. Of course if I was out wheeling it every chance I got then I may have made a different choice.
For me I also required the advanced transfer case so that forces me to look at the black diamond or the OBX as the minimum trims without requiring the Sasquatch package. That would also make the Big Bend cost more for my use case and still not be quite as nice on road for the majority of it's actual usage patterns. Our roads in Michigan border on being off roading anyway all the time.

I switched from OBX to BB because I decided to add the Sasquatch package. Optioning out the BB to match what the OBX once I included the sasquatch saved me about $2K. Only difference in my build is I have the removable hoop step instead of the tube step.

One could always change it out. Couldn’t be too hard
If I can done one I plan on it. I can’t get a part number from ford. Armalite says maybe sometime but nothing yet. I’m ready to buy if I can find it.

Why not just use Husky XAct Contours that cover 99.9 of your carpet ? Why the need to “spray” out?

For some reason I have had a change of heart and feel like the OBX with High pkg & leather seats I ordered is a bit overboard and I could probably be fine with the Big Bend with Mid pkg. I have a couple questions:

-Have any of you switched from High to Mid and have no regrets? The main things I liked about the High was the 12 inch screen and the overhead view camera. Will I actually miss those things?

-With moving down into the lower trim with lower accessory package, is there a possibility of seeing my bronco sooner than if I stuck with the fully loaded OBX?

-Ive never had cloth seats before- Any feedback on the broncos cloth seats?

Thank you to all who weigh in on this. Im thinking the money saved may be worth it while still getting all the standard modern features one would expect in 2022…
I just got my Big Bend with the sandstone upgrade interior without the mid package and I love it I was thinking OBX but I‘m happy with my choice. As for the cloth seats I’ve always had cloth seats and think they wear just fine my only suggestion would be invest in a stain guard other than that it’s fine.

Not to bother with the 22.5 price raise. From base manual to BB mid, +$7570。And the tires are still 255.
