im not saying the 2 door doesnt look better, or that the 4 door looks worse either, so that we can agree. theres so much to this truck than asthetics. im saying youre on a forum that doesnt represent even half of the owners, and on that forum youre polling those that complain. just trying to give you some perspective that this logic is skewed.

my opinion on the doors is that a 2 door :insert multipurpose use performance suv/truck: is just as ridiculous as a 4 door corvette. a 2 door bronco does not out perform a 4 door one, the 2 door has a wheel base of 100", the 4 door has 116", the ultra 4 has 118". function over form
I'll take 100" over 116" on the trail any day. I'm not a big fan of dragging center, therefore 116" is less functional. The only thing the 4D has over a 2D for my uses is a larger fuel tank.

Considering I don’t drag center in my fraptor at 157 I’ll be more than fine with 116 🤷🏾‍♂️

I think there are 3 categories of people choosing between 2 and 4 door. I understand each one. no judging here.

Those who want a 2 door.
Those who want a 4 door.
Those whose wife made them get a 4 door.

Get what you want. Don't worry about what someone else wants. Unless it's your wife. Then worry.

Um, shorter wheelbase is better for off roading so uh yeah…it does perform better. A 4 door corvette? That was the analogy you went with, a make believe car? 4 door corvettes don’t exist because they’re not for families, just like 2 door Broncos. The 4 door only exists because Karen needed to take Timmy to soccer practice and Chad needed space for his crib midgets.

I think it’s more simple than that.

Those who wanted a 2 door
Those who wish they could get a 2 door but have to haul shit or crib midgets around.

The curb at Kohl’s doesn’t count.

Crotch goblins take up a lot of room. We had a Suburban specifically for hauling them and their crap around. I also had a '71 Blazer they didn't ride in.

I also went with f150 raptor as an analogy. last I checked the raptors are the flagship trims. how many doors is a braptor? how many doors is the f150 raptor? how long is the wheelbase on the ultra 4? how long are the trophy trucks in baja 1000? for desert runs longer wheelbase = more stable, so theres that

It is simpler than that.
Those that can afford a 4 door get a 4 door
And then there’s…well

If I had gotten a golden ticket I would have gotten the 4 door raptor. The raptor is only reason that I even considered a 4 door. It's difficult waiting since day 2 but I will wait for my build with all the restraints. I will not get 2 additional doors to get a bronco faster.

LOL you act like people that have kids etc dont have multiple cars and 2 doors in the fleet. look at any sport coupe market and plenty are filled with family owners. if people really wanted one, more would be sold. everyone buying a braptor could buy 2-3 2 doors. theres a reason the flagship raptors only come in 4 doors, and keep in mind you used to be able to get an f150 in 2 door. open your eyes, 2 door aint popular but to a small sec
Small segment - but one that matters.

Look at the classic car market... besides the survivor cars, 4 doors go to the crusher - after donating their parts to 2 doors that get restored and bring top dollar. Look at the prices of 2 door station wagons vs 4 door wagons... not even close.

Two doors aren't about practicality - they're about passion and good proportions. I agree with @BroncocnorB that 2 doors will inherently be worth significantly more in the long run. Not just because fewer were built, but because people buy classics for eye candy and sex appeal... not cargo space and cupholders. (Wait, don't 2 doors get more of those anyway? I wouldn't know, neither of my two 2 doors have been scheduled yet.)

Anyhow, some things just don't look right with extra doors tacked on. To each his own, but I look at a 4 door Bronco and I see this:

The Braptor argument is moot, there's only a 4 door option, and buying 2 2-doors wouldn't be the same.
Exactly. 2x 2-doors > 1x BRaptor moardor. Realized I could get a 2nd Bronco for the price difference between my build and a BRaptor - and I ordered another.

First 2 door - CGM Basesquatch 2.7 for wheeling. (July '20 res)
Second 2 door - A51 Base stripper 2.3/7MT for a retro build for the road. (No res)

All for the same price (and the same number of doors) as a BRaptor. Win-win.

Of course neither is scheduled... which is why we continue to waste our time on here bitching about it. 😑

These are good points but these are different times, a different market with a different demand. We’re talking about the bronco in 2022. The raptor is the flagship and will be the better valued truck in the long run just as it does in the f150 lineup.so long as the raptor exist only in 4 door you will not find the median resale value of a 2 door at or above that of the raptor.

While I'm looking at buying an Suv with lockers front and rear and a massive amount ground clearance, with enough room to fit decoys, waders, shotguns, hunting dogs, or ice fishing gear, some are trying to compare it to little sportscars, worrying about retail value while trying to decide what rims or even tires "look" the coolest, or if an amp can fit under a seat..... to each his own.
