Bummer I didn’t think you needed one unless you were changing setting. Thanks for the effort. It’s getting to the point where I’m gonna set in the recliner and chill. Have a good eve.

It still hasn't come through. I'm about to go into a movie, might try again later tonight or in the morning if the license comes in.

The difference between 2641 and 2609 is less than 1 mph @ 80. Don’t overthink it.

Yeah totally not worth the headache. But since I’m already down the rabbit hole and have to have a dealer reset the pcm code. If I had a trusted gps speedo I probably would set it to that before getting my friend at the dealer to relearn the pcm.

Yeah I kind of need to know what mine is set at now or it's going to bug me. Got the license now so will probably check tonight.

I put a 32.8" (633 turns per mile) set of tires on my Base. The working circumference turns out to be: 2508mm. Of course, any number in 2500-2510 should be good. This is my test result. The formulas are all giving me too big or too small numbers. 2609 would be way too large in practice.

I used a Garmin GPS display to compare with Bronco display for the MPH from 0-60. After some adjustments through FORScan, 2508mm is right on target. Of course, I integrated a bit of carefulness in the choice, not to exceed the speed limits on the road.

The Garmin MPH numbers are delayed, during both acceleration and deceleration. At a constant speed, the two MPH numbers are equal (at 2508mm).

I am still curious to see what circumference number was originally set on a Badlands. The KO2 tires are of 32.7", as I remember, 635 turns per mile. Either 32.7 or 32.8, they are the results of round-off. So the last digit of XXXXmm is up in the air.

It’s two posts above 2525 puts is was tricky’s stock number me really close on gps. 2512 I think was dead on someone else mentioned the correct way is to measure with the vehicle on the ground center of wheel to the ground then work the math out. All the formulas put me way off two but even my stock number in the OBX was pretty far off on gps.

2653 is the Factory Wildtrak sas tire mm in ForScan. I measured the old factroy tire and its not 2653 (104.44"). It measured 106.5 with a string without weight on it...just the wheel and tire off the bronco. I wanted to do this to see if they are doing some kind of factor for tire sag from weight. I think this proves they do. About 2 inches in circumfrence.

I am trying to figure out what I need for 37" right now. So I did the same thing and the 37 BFG is 114.5" and converted thats 2908 mm. But if I throw in the sag from weight or whatever you want to call it... I take off 2" for 112.5 and that gets me to 2857.5 but I will round down to 2857 and give that a try and report back.

OK UPDATE!!!!

2725 was the magic number for BFG 37's. HOWEVER, the 4x4 wrench came up. Would not clear... also had PCM, ABS, AWD....and more DTC's but only AWD was responsible for the service light wrench. So that told me its causing the others. So I went to Configure and Programming and Found AWD Module initialization/relearn from central configuration. When I started that it mentions.. DTC P160A is set when the PCM/TCM detects a mismatch in configuration data (vin, TIRE SIZE, Axle Ratio, etc.) between the PCM/TCM and BCM <-- BCM is where I changed the tire circumfrence to 2725.

It went great. No more wrench.

HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!

In the same boat, purchased a BD with the Grabbers, swapped in BL wheels and tires. Can't believe that there is so much uncertainty about what the correct tire size is. Since it appears I need the dealer to do some stuff that cannot be done in Forscan my inclination is to not do anything until I go in for the first oil change and ask the dealer to do the work. Or is it as simple as changing the circumference in Forscan? If the latter, what is the correct value? 2525?

You will have to get someones BL tire #'s since they are factory numbers I would just use those. BUT, I bet if you ask anyone with a stock vehicle to download a GPS app and go 40, 50, 60 mph and report back, I bet even stock its not accurate. I drove and tuned the numbers to the GPS... the key is to hold the speed steady because the app and gps has a delay.

If you have a laptop and a OBDII connector/reader that works with ForScan, its not really crazy stuff. ForScan has 2 months free. Readers are like $22 for a USB type.

I paid the $12 for an extended Forscan license. This piece of software is so useful that I find it very easy to justify sending the developer $12. Changed the circumference yesterday to 2525 (there was another thread where multiple people confirmed that these are the factory numbers), but this morning I got a "Check 4x4" warning on the dashboard. Wondering if it is related to the change. Will return to 2440 tonight and see if the problem goes away.
