First Edition Bronco Will Have Navy Pier Interior Option Only

What are the chances it's the alcantara seats in the 19+ raptors? I'm willing to be very slim. I didn't love them, but it would be better than the navy pier flooding this thread. Just trying to remain positive.

I quite like the alcantara steering wheel in my GT350R but I'm pretty anal about it and I actually wash up before I even get into the car lol...alcantara is quite good in a sports car because it's grippy - if it's on a seat your clothes kinda stick to it...ie. not sliding all over the place like on leather. So far in my GT350 it cleans up pretty well. But I've seen some nasty YouTube vids of people getting it all gummed up....however, these people seem to have let it get too far and imo mis-treated it.

With that said, not sure I'd want it in a Bronco or Raptor. It's very nice feeling but the chance of it getting dirty faster is quite high. I honestly don't understand how anyone could think suede would be any better. In a Bronco, the seat grip you'd get would be a nice addition and I could see the advantage off-road. Not sure the "cleanliness" factor would be any different than normal cloth seats...

Which brings up the question of the vinyl seats...I wonder if they've managed to create the vinyl with some sort of texture so you're not sliding all over the place. My boat vinyl is not the most grippy material and my Sea-doo isn't much better. hmm

So I think this looks great, but I don’t think there’s any reason to think it’s going to be alcantara based strictly on: navy pier leather trimmed

The FE should have at least one color option that isn't available on the others, AND open the color options to whichever the buyer desires (in the 10+ color palette), then add a full black leather option for the suits that want to drive it to their corporate digs.

Shit, man. If it was ACTUALLY Seafoam, then I'd probably be into it. But if we're talking about weddings and how to dress, let's discuss the actual Navy Pier scheme...

Did your parents (or anyone with more than a handful of brain cells) tell you not to wear navy blue and black together? Sparing you the spiral of educational Color Theory I want to go into, let's just say that you don't mix them because they lack intentional contrast. It's why, in weddings, you see people in gray suits with navy accents or vice versa. Navy/gray/brown shoes. That's a typical look. You don't wear black shoes with navy socks. It's a color theory thing.

Anyway, I've gone wayyy off topic. Point is Navy Pier is not well-designed. And this is from someone who does it for a living and isn't giving a subjective mindset. It's an actual, measurable thing. And you'd think Ford would have hired a designer with basic color theory knowledge to design an "exclusive" interior option (even though it's available on other trims and isn't exclusive at all... just... fuuuuuuuuuuuuu).

I know this because I got in an argument about it once and fell down a rabbit hole of sartorial fucking nonsense. In fact it goes the other way...used to be a high crime to wear brown shoes with a navy suit.

I think what the common misconception is the varying personal definitions of "Navy blue." Even Googling the term, the results in a single image are so different.

The closest one to true navy blue is the one on the bottom row, second from right.

ROYAL blue, which is closer to the top middle, definitely pairs well with black. And that seems to be most people's definition of "Navy Blue."

Man, I’m way off. My navy blue is always “are you sure that’s not black?” blue, or “antimatter blue” in bronco 6g terms
