I quite like the alcantara steering wheel in my GT350R but I'm pretty anal about it and I actually wash up before I even get into the car lol...alcantara is quite good in a sports car because it's grippy - if it's on a seat your clothes kinda stick to it...ie. not sliding all over the place like on leather. So far in my GT350 it cleans up pretty well. But I've seen some nasty YouTube vids of people getting it all gummed up....however, these people seem to have let it get too far and imo mis-treated it.What are the chances it's the alcantara seats in the 19+ raptors? I'm willing to be very slim. I didn't love them, but it would be better than the navy pier flooding this thread. Just trying to remain positive.
With that said, not sure I'd want it in a Bronco or Raptor. It's very nice feeling but the chance of it getting dirty faster is quite high. I honestly don't understand how anyone could think suede would be any better. In a Bronco, the seat grip you'd get would be a nice addition and I could see the advantage off-road. Not sure the "cleanliness" factor would be any different than normal cloth seats...
Which brings up the question of the vinyl seats...I wonder if they've managed to create the vinyl with some sort of texture so you're not sliding all over the place. My boat vinyl is not the most grippy material and my Sea-doo isn't much better. hmm
