Nope, see here.Good morning all, I was curious if there has been any additional revelations on the electric brake assist issue with the 2.7?
Thanks Tilzbow. I’ll bookmark that link as well. Maybe they will have this resolved by the time I get mine. 14 months and counting.
Grant,My brake systems includes a charge line. I think you will need it with the 2.7 and the EBB.
Please check my latest thread over here.

1) I have wired brake and turn signals, I just noticed the brake lights when I was doing the testing in my garage. Originally they would only light up for about the first 5 mins. A good way to check them is open the drives side window and close the doors. Take a long pole and push on the brake pedal and see if the brake lights come on and keep checking every few minutes.Grant,
I’m going to a have a charge line installed just to be safe since there’s no downside.
A couple questions for you:
1) I see you’re also having trouble with your Bronco’s brake lights staying functional after a little while when it’s being towed. Do they continue working if you cycle the door locks via the key fob and/or by skipping step 8 in the Ford flat towing instructions?
2) If you skip step 8 I remember you stating that worked to keep the EBB on but your Bronco racked up miles while being towed but this didn’t happen consistently. Any update on this?
I just when out did the brake light test. Was not in tow mode. Was checking every minute then got bored and when in the house for a few minutes and came back at the 13 minute mark and they had stopped working.Grant,

Do you mean diode? They have them built-in but they are currently being manufactured incorrectly going to pin five instead of pin three. Therefore they activate the yellow turn signals with braking. Their tech support has not gotten an answer to me for almost a month of back and forth. I watched some videos on how to re-pen MOLLEX plugs and fixed it myself.Does the Curt 58992 have the brake relay built in? Or do you need an additional kit?

Is it wired the same as the Curt 56468? If so, this should help:Did I miss it? Did someone post a wiring diagram for the Curt 58992? I guess I will have to learn to repin a molex plug. Wish I would have saw this forum before I installed it![]()
